Summary

When Charlie Rideout's best friend David vanishes from Denver's vibrant drag bar scene, he turns to the last person who should take the case. Max Evans is a jaded private detective still haunted by the murder of his husband at the hands of a serial killer he helped put behind bars.
But the deeper Max and Charlie dig into David's disappearance, the more the shadows of Max's past close in around them. A taunting business card smeared with blood. A killer who was supposed to be locked away. And the terrifying realization that David's abduction was never about David at all. It was a trap designed to lure Max back into a nightmare he never escaped.
As the clock ticks down on David's life, Max and Charlie are drawn together by more than the case. Charlie's relentless optimism cracks open something in Max he thought died with his husband, while Max's fierce protectiveness awakens feelings Charlie never expected to find in the middle of a crisis. But forces beyond them despise nothing more than the happiness of others, and falling for each other might be the most dangerous thing they can do.

The year is 1885 and all May Jakobsson wants is a home of her own and a woman to love. Leaving behind her poor immigrant family, she claims her one hundred and sixty acres under the Homestead Act in Dakota Territory. Life on the farm is lonely and there seems no hope of meeting the right woman, or any woman with her inclinations. That is, until an itinerant seamstress arrives in town.
When wealthy Boston socialite Temperance Lowell decides to take her sewing machine and travel the rails staying in different towns, she is seeking adventure while escaping Boston where the woman she was having an affair with is getting married. The last thing she expects is to meet a tall, shy woman wearing men's clothes to whom she is instantly attracted.
Not only does their attachment cause an uproar in the town of Livingstone, especially among the men who were already hostile to a woman like May, and were more than interested in the beautiful and elegant Temperance, but it confuses May who, in her own words, is "as common as the dirt I dig." Temperance, a little older and very sure of herself, knows May is the woman for her.
Can they make a life together in a rough town among farming folk? Will their love survive the challenges thrown their way?

Neil, née Phillip, is thankful for his new lease on life, but will give it all up if that will prevent his ex-boyfriend from having to pay for his mistake. This box set includes both books in Addison Albright's best-selling M/M vampire duology.
    Contains the stories:

The Recruit: Albert Manlii has walked this earth for many years and leads a faction of highly organized vampires carefully guarding the secret of their existence. Potential recruits are carefully selected and presented with an offer. Phillip Brewer has weeks to live -- if he lets his disease run its course. He doesn't want to die, but will his desire to live outweigh his concerns about the vampires' ethics?

The Choice: Now that faction-leader Albert has a blood-mate, he finds himself second-guessing his decisions. Neil would be crushed knowing the mistake he'd made as a fledgling vampire led to human deaths, but Albert shouldn't factor that into the difficult choices he must make. Will Albert's indecision put the entire vampire establishment in danger? Or is redemption only a flamethrower away?
