The comforting bid of Jesus to the worn and weary soul:Come to me, all who are weary, and I will give you rest. You’re tired. Tired in your body. Tired in your soul. At times, life feels hard, chaotic, or just mind-numbingly ordinary. But what if our souls could find rest even amid the onslaught of chaos and confusion? What if we could exchange that heavy dread and disquiet for a peace that passes understanding? Author Sarah J. Hauser believes that while our outward lives are falling apart, our inner lives can grow stronger. All Who are Weary was born out of Sarah’s own story—her depression, grief, and tears. Sarah, no stranger to weariness, invites us to join her in bringing our heavy burdens to Jesus and taking the light burden He offers instead.Readers find deep, lasting rest by throwing off nine soul-crushing burdens: worthlessness, condemnation, worry, self-sufficiency, insecurity, comparison, perfectionism, insignificance, and despair. We were never meant to carry these things in the first place. Christians who feel stuck, strained, and discouraged will be equipped with Scripture and encouraged by personal stories that help us identify the burdens we need to release. Because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can live with joy and endurance, come what may. If you’re craving rest for your soul, Jesus invites you to come to Him, because only there can true rest be found.

Living life to the fullest with bipolar disorder is possible! In this candid, humorous, and insightful book, author, political science lecturer, and “Dudeist Priest” Arch Grieve provides readers with a first-hand account of the many lessons he has learned (often the hard way) as a person living with bipolar disorder. This guidebook is a must-read for anyone who has recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder or knows someone who has. Arch provides readers with real-life cautionary tales, practical advice, and hope that they can do more than just “get by” with bipolar disorder – they can actually thrive in it by capitalizing on the creativity, energy, and unique ways of thinking they possess by virtue of their condition. He also provides bipolar sufferers with several tools they can use to help manage their illness more effectively. The book also includes practical tools that will help you gain control over your illness, including a bipolar mood scale, a mania contract example, a suicide safety plan template, and a mood tracker.Anyone struggling with bipolar disorder will benefit greatly from reading the book. Still, fans of the hit Coen Brothers film, The Big Lebowski, will appreciate even more how Arch draws upon his Dudeist faith (and a healthy dose of Lebowski movie references) to help him abide, even when someone pisses on the rug, man.The most important thing this book provides is hope for people struggling with bipolar disorder, a mental illness that bears the unfortunate distinction of being the one that claims the most victims through suicide with a rate that stands at nearly 20%. This doesn't have to be the case, however, and this book will provide bipolar readers (and their friends and family members) a path forward out of despair and show them, step-by-step, how to build a full and complete life that they can actually thrive in. It'll also make you laugh to beat the band. Parts, anyway. In short, it's just the right book for its time and place.

Blessed Ramon Llull’s ultimate act of final perseverance was not one single decision made by grace, but the culmination of a life spent adhering to the will of God. The Memoirs of Blessed Ramon Llull is a thrilling narrative, reading almost like an action novel. In this autobiographical work, he humbly details his triumphs as well as his own weaknesses and disappointments. Due to rivalries between Catholic leaders, Bl. Ramon’s missionary zeal faced indifference from within the Church as well as resistance from without.
This Franciscan tertiary is known as the Doctor Illuminatus because he wrote over 300 works that span dozens of disciplines, not least of which is his Greater Art (Arts Major). TAN’s edition of Llull’s autobiography also includes substantial extracts from his Booklet about the End. Translated in English for the first time, by Fr. Robert Nixon, OSB, this work gives a detailed outline of his request made to Pope Clement V and the College of Cardinals for the establishment of monastic academies to train future missionaries in foreign languages. Unfortunately, his request was denied. A visionary among his fellow clergymen, Bl. Ramon was alone in recognizing the importance of learning the vernacular of the unconverted nations. Despite this and various additional disappointments he experienced, Bl. Ramon never swayed from the work Christ called him to.
