Summary

Christina Engela proudly presents the 3rd volume in a series of horror misadventures in deep space with the crew of the I.S.S. Mercury.

Miora: After a few hair-raising assignments – and some even more harsh treatment at the hands of his sceptical superiors, Captain Flane and the crew of the Terran starship Mercury were only too happy to be sent on a truly mind-numbingly boring assignment: to survey and catalogue every planet, moon, asteroid and speck of space-dust in a previously unexplored star system. There, on a long-dead world scarred by an ancient war of self-anhilation, they discover a deserted alien ship on the surface, stranded since the great calamity that ended the burgeoning civilization that once lived there. The fact that Flane's best friend and executive officer, Commander Vic Chapman, got all aflap about detecting life on board that ship, didn't make things any easier.

The Big Rain: ‘It's a funny old 'verse,’ Stuart Flane – Captain of the Terran starship Mercury, thought. Most people

From the author of the horror classic Night of the Living Dead.
Children can get away with murder under the cover of midnight...
Cynthia and her brothers had heard the stories about grandpa, who could summon demons and compel people to die with a curse. Maybe they also possessed the ancient powers. At first, they caught smallish demons who had assumed the shapes of rabbits and birds and then, larger ones like those who resembled the neighbor kids.
Now, they are growing, and their powers are swelling, nourished by adult desires.
Soon, they will gather others like themselves from the earth's dark corners. Soon, they will begin the blood-drenched ceremonies performed one by one at midnight.

If you sit a spell, and look just so, you might catch a glimpse into another world, or several. Some seem no different from the world you call home, give or take a monster waiting in the shadows, or an avenging angel hidden in plain sight, or an inhuman forest spirit better left undisturbed.
Other worlds may be unrecognizably strange, from storybook kingdoms to ash-strewn apocalypse. Familiar or far-flung, all these worlds have certain things in common - plentiful supplies of fear, and a scarcity of happy endings. Come along and lose yourself among their ASSORTED MALIGNANCIES ....

The Psychic Megan Series consists of twenty-four novelettes about a young girl`s growing realisation that she is able to do things that none of her family can. Megan is twelve years old in the first volume. She has two seemingly insurmountable problems. Her mother is frightened of her daughter`s latent abilities and not only will not help her but actively discourages her; and she can’t find a teacher to help her develop her supernatural, psychic powers. For she wants not only to know what it is possible to do and how to do it, but to what end she should put her special abilities. Megan is a good girl, so it would seem obvious that she would tend towards using her powers for good, but it is not always easy to do the right thing even if you know what that is.
These stories about Megan will appeal to anyone who has an interest in psychic powers, the supernatural and the paranormal and is between the ages of ten and a hundred years old.
In Megan and the Lost Cat, Megan, our psychic teen, has read a poster about a missing cat, and she decides to try to use her fledgling paranormal powers to help find it. Her instincts take her to the woods nearby, where she receives help from a strange dancing girl, and finds the cat. Megan later meets the cat`s mysterious owner, who has a significant influence on the teenager’s life.
