Sinopsis

Scribbles is a collection of poems written to express feelings that come with intense love, anger, betrayal, trauma, confusion, trust, and worry, and to help make sense of things. Its goal is to shine a light on some thoughts and feelings one may be having when experiencing the worry for a friend's death, death of a lover, falling in love, or being betrayed, or being abused, trying to figure out one's own mind, or feeling as though one has lost their mind. It is gritty and emotional, even lurid at times, but serves its purpose of letting out what cannot be contained.

In a world that pulls us endlessly toward the past or the future, this book is an invitation to come back to now.

”Beauty In The Stillness” is the debut poetry and prose collection from Karin Hadadan — author, mindfulness advocate, and founder of the lifestyle brand ICI ET NU ("here and now"). Written from her own experience navigating chronic illness, heartbreak, and the slow work of self-healing, this book is for anyone who has lost touch with the quiet beauty of the present moment and needs help finding their way back to it.

Through short, accessible reflections, Hadadan explores the themes of presence, heartbreak as a catalyst for growth, self-love, loneliness, purpose, and the transformative practice of simply sitting with yourself without judgment. Inspired by the mindfulness philosophy of Eckhart Tolle, her writing bridges the emotional resonance of modern poetry with the grounded, practical wisdom of self-help — making it equally at home on a nightstand or a meditation cushion.

Readers describe it as a book they return to again and again — picking it up for a single passage on a hard day, or reading slowly through a period of transition.

    Perfect for readers who:

    - Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the present moment
    - Are healing from heartbreak, grief, or a major life change
    - Struggle with loneliness or sitting with themselves in solitude
    - Enjoy the work of Yung Pueblo, Rupi Kaur, or Alexandra Elle
    - Want a beautifully designed gift book for someone going through a difficult season

Behind every smile lies a story untold, and within every life exists a universe of moments, connections, and quiet revelations. This collection invites readers to step beyond the illusion of being the sole protagonist and into the profound realization that every passerby carries a life as vivid and complex as their own.

Through a series of evocative poems, Sonder explores the invisible threads that bind strangers, acquaintances, and loved ones alike. It reflects on fleeting encounters—the stranger met in transit, the child lost in a book, the silent acts of kindness exchanged in passing—and reveals the depth of stories that unfold beyond our awareness.

At its heart, the book captures the bittersweet truth of existence: that countless lives, experiences, and emotions will remain unknown and eventually fade with time. Yet, rather than despair, it offers solace. In acknowledging the vastness of unseen lives, it reassures readers that their feelings, struggles, and joys are not isolated, but shared across the human experience.

Sonder is a gentle reminder that while every story is deeply personal, it is also part of something infinitely larger—a quiet, interconnected cosmos of lives unfolding all at once.
