Synopsis

Adam Baker, an eco-farming consultant, is separated from his wife, lonely, estranged from his family... totally miserable. Walking on a deserted beach, he meets Selph, a precocious, overweight, wisecracking, sloppily-dressed teenager, who appears out of nowhere and claims to be his long-sought after spiritual teacher. Wanting to get Adam's attention, Selph brings a long-dead seabird back to life. Thus begins this funny, insightful, dramatic and fast-paced adventure about the meaning of life. 
With Selph's wit, antics and not-so-gentle guidance, Adam evolves from embittered selfishness to understanding life, death, and the spiritual basis of the universe. 
Against a background of passionate romance, injury, pain and the harsh beauty of Australia, this magical story will enlighten, entertain and inspire you to appreciate and celebrate life - no matter what the circumstances of 'fate' may bring your way.
