Summary

The heart he needed in order to live already has another half.
It's either death or a heart transplant for Cody Collins—he has days left to live. When he gets a match it's like an answer to a prayer… or that spell he cast in a moment of desperation.
An eighteen-wheeler killed the love of Mark Finn's life, and he'll never love another man until the day he dies. Little does he know his psychic partner signed up to be an organ donor, and soon the heart that loved him will beat in a regular human's chest.
Getting a new lease on life should have solved all of Cody's problems… except now he can barely sleep because of the visions and hallucinations he's having. The final straw is the sexy older gentleman who shows up at his door, insisting Cody is a psychic now. Yeah, right.
Then the visions come true. Turns out Portland isn't as normal as Cody thought.
Mark agrees to help Cody adjust to his new life—but as soon as he's got a hang of his powers, he's leaving. His heart can't take much more. When a stolen kiss reveals that Cody is tied to him by fate for the rest of their lives, it's like losing Aiden all over again.
But grief and love alike will have to take a back seat when Cody sees a future in flames: a necromancer plans on taking the whole city straight to hell. Mark and his pupil will have to fight an entire army of the undead together… all the while wondering: is fated love just as deep the second time around?
Matters of the heart get complicated when magic is involved.

Coffee Days, Whiskey Nights is a collection of poetry, prose, and aphorisms that juxtaposes the hopefulness a brand new day can bring with the lingering thoughts that keep us up into the late-night hours. A lot can happen between the first sip of coffee and the last taste of whiskey, and this book takes a look at the way a single day can change our outlook on everything from relationships with others, to our relationships with ourselves, and everything in between. Ultimately, it illustrates that no matter how hopeless we may feel at the end of a day, a new one is only a few hours away.

A powerful exploration of the way AIDS reshapes relationships and livesAfterlife is a haunting and unforgettable story of men facing loss and seeking love, movingly capturing the moment in the 1980s when the AIDS epidemic was completely devastating the American gay community. Here, National Book Award winner Paul Monette depicts three men of various economic and social backgrounds, all with one thing in common: They are widowers, in a way, and all of their lovers died of AIDS in an LA hospital within a week of one another. Steven, Sonny, and Dell meet weekly to discuss how to go on with their lives despite the hanging sword of being HIV positive. One tries to find a semblance of normalcy; one rebels openly against the disease, choosing to treat his body as a temple that he can consecrate and desecrate at will; and one throws himself into fierce political activism. No matter what path each one takes, they are all searching for one thing: a way to live and love again.Afterlife finds Paul Monette at his most autobiographical, portraying men in a situation that he himself experienced, and one that he described to critical acclaim in the award-winning Borrowed Time: An AIDS Memoir. This ebook features an illustrated biography of Paul Monette including rare images and never-before-seen documents from the Paul Monette papers of the UCLA Library Special Collections.

Two houses. Two Presidents. One hell of a happy ending.
    Zeke
Being president of a frat house means everything is on my shoulders.
Idiot brothers, epic pranks, a list of organizational duties long enough to make my eyes bleed.
    None of it fazes me.
But senior year is almost over, and I’m ready to take a step back.
    Until the hazing rumors start.
I might not know where they’re coming from, but I know they’re total BS.
Now, instead of dialing back the stress, we’ve broken the number one rule on the row: Don’t get the dean’s attention.
I need to find out who’s driving the lies.
And all evidence points to one person.
    Charles
I never wanted to become Kappa president.
The appointment was made easier, though, when none other than Zeke Ariston took over Sigma house. I’ve always been … drawn to him. Fascinated.
And maybe a little attracted too.
Pity I’ve never been more than an afterthought to him.
But when rumors start to circulate about hazing and the sources lead back to my house, it puts me square on Zeke’s radar.
I want to help him get to the bottom of it all.
And with his attention finally on me, I want to tell him how I feel.
The guys on Greek Row meet their chaotic conclusion with this rivals-to-lovers romance full of pranks, shared hoodies, and secret meetings made in the dark.

From the award-winning essayist and author of the “shrewd as hell and hysterically funny” (Carmen Maria Machado, author of Her Body and Other Parties) novel Cheer Up, Mr. Widdicombe comes a moving and unforgettable essay collection about his travels around the globe as he reflects on the power and complexity of human relationships. From the award-winning essay “Lover’s Theme,” in which Evan James explores the life of a drag queen in San Francisco, to his poignant story of coming out in “One Hell of a Homie,” set against the backdrop of the 1992 film Class Act, this essay collection brilliantly captures both the beauty and pain of relationships—friendly, familiar, and romantic. I’ve Been Wrong Before is an eye-opening and heartfelt illustration of how our differences are often the things that bring us closer together. Masterfully balancing tremendous insight with startling humor, this absorbing collection features Evan James’s “wry intelligence and sense of the absurd” (R. O. Kwon, author of The Incendiaries) and is perfect for fans of Alexander Chee and Maggie Nelson.
