Dorothee Haering is a photographer and owner of the graphics and marketing agency "bildhaft", in Munich, Germany. Golf has accompanied she from her cradle, and most of her family has the bug too. Her grandfather practiced enthusiastically on a chipping green in his garden, and her father, a successful team player, regularly took her with him on the golf course when she was a child. At the weekends she was a proud caddy and accompanied "her players" throughout the tournaments and also briefly took part in junior training. Ever since she saw Jack Niklaus play golf 1972 in Munich she knew: she wanted to become a Golf Professional. Later, life had other plans for her and there followed an involuntary golf-intermission lasting thirty-eight years until the golf addiction broke out again with a vengeance. Her goal for her (second) golf career: she wanted to break 80.

Sports vision is an often-overlooked area that can be leveraged for improved performance. Most athletes invest in equipment and training without ever thinking about their vision.
Many scientific studies have highlighted the relationship between vision and on-field performance, and most professional sports teams employ a sports vision specialist to ensure all team members have optimal vision and visual function for success.
This audiobook, written by one of the premier sports vision specialists, details the knowledge gained over a 30+ year career working with Professional Athletes from all major sports from Premier League football to Olympic athletes, as well as almost every Professional league in the USA.
Beginning with a detailed review of how and why vision is important in sports, the book takes the reader on a journey through the vision system, identifying the areas critical to performance.
This audiobook spotlights the different areas that impact sports performance. From basic visual abilities (spoiler alert: 20/20 vision is not normal for an elite athlete and is rarely enough for optimal performance) to how the brain uses vision to make a decision and then how an athlete uses vision to make a perfectly executed motor action.

Filled with stunning photos, this book by the #1 New York Times–bestselling sportswriter tells the story of Mickey Mantle’s legendary career.

Mickey Mantle has long been considered one of baseball's most memorable figures—playing his entire eighteen-year baseball career for the New York Yankees (1951-68), winning three American League MVP titles, playing in twenty All-Star games, and winning seven World Series.

Today, decades after his retirement, he still holds six World Series records, including most home runs (18). Buzz Bissinger, Pulitzer Prize winner and acclaimed author of Friday Night Lights and Three Nights in August, goes beyond the statistics to bring Mantle to life, and striking photographs by Marvin E. Newman make this book a fitting tribute to Mantle’s career and his lasting impact on the sport of baseball.
