Sinopsis

Domain-driven design (DDD) is one of the most sought-after skills in the industry. This book provides you with step-by-step explanations of essential concepts and practical examples that will see you introducing DDD in your Go projects in no time. Domain-Driven Design with Golang starts by helping you gain a basic understanding of DDD, and then covers all the important patterns, such as bounded context, ubiquitous language, and aggregates. The latter half of the book deals with the real-world implementation of DDD patterns and teaches you how to build two systems while applying DDD principles, which will be a valuable addition to your portfolio. Finally, you’ll find out how to build a microservice, along with learning how DDD-based microservices can be part of a greater distributed system. Although the focus of this book is Golang, by the end of this book you’ll be able to confidently use DDD patterns outside of Go and apply them to other languages and even distributed systems.

Chat-GPT, humanoid robotics, and self-driving cars are just a few of the things that are changing our everyday lives. The rapid advancement of AI is eroding one by one all the cornerstones considered unique of human nature: language, consciousness, creativity, and moral responsibility. The book argues that the revolution we are facing is driven by Alan Turing's "vision". This vision rests on the idea that intelligence is not an intrinsic property of human beings, but is a way in which matter is functionally organized and an attribute we are naturally inclined to ascribe to certain entities. For decades we have pretended that this idea does not have the corrosive power that it actually does, perhaps more so than the Copernican and Darwinian revolutions. But now, given the achievements of new forms of computing based on deep learning and predictive coding, the most common intuitions can no longer avoid the dangerous Turing idea.

The book is intended for scholars, researchers, and listeners intrigued by the intersections across disciplines interested in understanding the philosophical, ethical, and social implications of Artificial Intelligence and its impact on human nature.

Salmonella is a genus of bacteria that plays a major role in human and animal health, causing a wide range of infections with varying degrees of severity. It is responsible for one of the most common foodborne illnesses worldwide, with millions of people affected each year. While many may associate Salmonella solely with food poisoning, it is much more complex, comprising over 2,500 serotypes, each with its own specific characteristics and virulence factors.
The discovery of Salmonella dates back to the late 19th century, when Theobald Smith, working under the guidance of American bacteriologist Daniel Elmer Salmon, first identified the bacterium. Since then, much has been learned about its biology, transmission, and impact on public health. Originally, the genus was named after Salmon, though today it is classified under the family Enterobacteriaceae, sharing common traits with other enteric bacteria. Despite the significant advances in understanding Salmonella, new challenges continue to emerge, particularly in the form of antibiotic resistance and emerging serotypes with more aggressive characteristics.
Salmonella infections are typically categorized into two main types: gastrointestinal infections and systemic infections. The most common manifestation is gastroenteritis, which presents with symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, nausea, and abdominal cramps. These symptoms usually develop within 6 to 72 hours after exposure to the bacteria. Though often self-limiting, severe cases can lead to dehydration and, in rare instances, death. On the other hand, systemic infections like typhoid fever can cause more severe illness, potentially leading to complications such as intestinal perforation, septic shock, or organ failure. Typhoid fever remains a major health issue in many developing countries, while gastrointestinal Salmonella infections are more frequently encountered in industrialized nations.

We live surrounded by an invisible world which affects our lives in many ways.
In this book we will take a journey from barely visible life, to cells, their structures, molecules, atoms, fundamental particles and even smaller.
We will explore not just the facts about this small world, but also try to unearth interesting facts to ponder too.
For example, what did paranormal investigators believe about the structure of atoms over one hundred years ago?
And what particles or forces might be smaller than the standard building block particles we know about today?
Also, what are the limitations of the standard model of subatomic particles?
There are many things in the microscopic world which you might not expect.
The journey from the small to the infinitely small starts here.
