This book is about employer health plans and everyone who swims in that pond. It is a rare and valuable resource to help employers, advisors, direct primary care practices, direct specialty care practices, hospitals, networks and many others thrive in the model of free market healthcare. 
After five consecutive years of nearly double-digit healthcare cost increases (the company's third largest overall expense), the trend was becoming unsustainable and the future looked bleak. 
As the VP of HR, Matt Ohrt decided to try to do something about it. Over the next 6 years, Matt led Merrill Steel on a journey to transform their health plan and save the company and employees millions of dollars in healthcare costs. 
Thereafter, Matt studied five other mature healthcare success stories in the state of Wisconsin. He got to know the transformational leaders of each of those stories and he researched their strategies and their methods in depth. Through this research, combined with his first-hand experience and success, he developed The Employer Healthcare Success Formula and published this book.
