Sinopsis

A World Trade Center worker finds himself in a time loop grappling with mortality and fate as he relives the events of September 11th, 2001.

The brain-damaged captive of a drug cartel mutely participates in an ancient struggle over life and death when his botched rescue lands him and a handful of military intelligence personnel and assets on a tropical island.

A ruralite wrestling with the decline of his childhood town observes an interloper when he finds the abandoned house he is renovating not so vacant as he thought.

The son of a wealthy American businessman is dragged from his frivolous life into the heights of corporate power and prestige. How he wields this newfound power rattles the foundations of the family business, and his own life.

In Millennium, author Marty Phillips crafts each of these four stories as part of a whole anthological novel, a glimpse into the changing world experienced by the American millennial. Antelope Hill is proud to present this thought-provoking second work of fiction from Phillips.

During the height of the Great War, Joanna Holmes and the Watsons receive a late-night, clandestine visit from Sir William Radcliffe, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, who brings with him an agonizing tale of blackmail; a case so sensitive that it can only be spoken of in the confines of 221B Baker Street.

An unknown individual has come into possession of salacious photographs, which not only sullies the family name, but may force the chancellor to vacate his seat on the War Council where his advice is most needed. The blackmailer has in their possession revealing photographs that show Sir William's granddaughter in romantic encounters with a man other than the aristocrat to whom she is engaged to marry. Should the pictures be released to the public, the wedding would be immediately called off, and the prospect of the granddaughter ever finding a suitable husband would vanish.

Sir William's family has been forced to pay exorbitant sums for several of the photographs, but even more salacious pictures remain in the blackmailer's possession—and will no doubt carry greater demands and threats. Scotland Yard cannot be involved, for fear of public disclosure. It thus falls on the shoulders of Joanna and the Watsons to expose the blackmailer and procure the photographs before irreparable harm comes to the chancellor and his family.

Biting wit and lush descriptions combine in this striking new edition of Oscar Wilde’s short story collection, which contains Wilde’s most famous story, “The Canterville Ghost.” Originally published in 1887 in the British literary magazine, The Court and Society Review. “Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime: A Study of Duty” headlines this anthology, first published in 1891. In addition to the title work, Wilde added “The Canterville Ghost,” “The Model Millionaire,” and “The Sphinx Without a Secret.” Editions dated after 1900 (including this one) also contain “The Portrait of Mr. W. H.” In the 132 years since the publication of this collection, numerous actors, writers, and even musicians wrote adaptations of “The Canterville Ghost,” the most popular of the stories in this volume. But those adaptations also made significant changes in the plot. Now with a foreword by Hugo-award nominee Paul Di Filippo, go back to the original. Read “The Canterville Ghost,” and the other stories as Oscar Wilde wrote them.

    *Duet Narration*
I was a ruthless monster. A right-hand enforcer to the most powerful sociopathic vampire in the world. The only thing that mattered was satiating my bloodthirst for killing. When it came time to take out the Assembly, a group of demented humans who used creatures of the Otherworld for their own sick entertainment, I was ready to litter the ground with their corpses. And I did my job well. But when I woke up in the middle of nowhere and realized I’d been thrust into another dimension, the idea of death was a sweet relief.
But then I was found by an unlikely ally. She saved me.
This tiny Fae female with pointed ears, tiny fangs, deep red hair, and freckles that made me hungry, thirsty, and dying to see every part of her.
    Ada. My mate.
It was an enemies-to-lovers start, where it was her and me against everything else in this dangerous new world. And for the first time in my life I actually…wanted something for myself. I wanted to protect instead of kill. I wanted to love instead of hate. I just didn’t know if I could ever be anything but the villain of my own story.
