Summary

Erotic Censorship explores the pervasive attempts to control erotic expression globally and their profound consequences. This book examines the historical, political, and social forces driving censorship, revealing how these efforts often reflect power struggles rather than genuine concerns for public morality. Erotic censorship frequently targets marginalized groups, reinforcing existing social hierarchies and suppressing dissent. Consider, for instance, how historical attitudes shaped current laws governing sexual expression.

The book progresses by first defining erotic censorship and distinguishing it from related concepts like pornography and obscenity. It then presents diverse case studies illustrating the motivations behind censorship, ranging from religious fundamentalism to political authoritarianism. Finally, the book analyzes the chilling effects of censorship on artistic expression, sexual education, and democratic values, culminating in a discussion of strategies for resisting censorship in the digital age.

Ultimately, the book offers critical insights into the intersection of sexuality, politics, and freedom of expression, making it invaluable for students, researchers, and policymakers alike.

A calling, an eruption, a phenomenon, an occurrence, a state of flow, an outlet for outburst, an involuntary muscle contortion, a summoning, an awakening, a release, an instinctual truth, a fleeting rarity, an escape from the commotion, a coming and going concussion... Call it what you will; Just don't call yourself a writer when you’re not writing. ©
Fundamentally, this book isn't "about" anything but submission of a poetry and prose collection that had to be a world level thank you letter to American artist Charles Bukowski whom I had found later in life as a reminder that there was no doing this right. "This" refers to the notion of what it means to be a writer, as the pieces encompassing this collection stem from realization of a rooted "no effort" and invasive take over in the course of my life.
Simultaneously, I brutally address what it took to learn that this was ok.
Young adults of the art feel stigmatized into forcing creativity scholastically, whilst thinking their expression is restricted, not being trained to listen to their gut or feel strongly by standing on their own experiences. Even if it’s just by momentarily putting the mathematical thinking aside. I'd come across this the hard way from tutoring the subject of English first hand and sympathizing with people putting pressure on themselves in torment when they have "writer's block", so this could very well relate to aspiring writers in exercising patience. The purpose is to console by unpacking the nitty gritty, hard-hitting truths relating to existentialism, internal crises and sporadic nature that artists experience which the world doesn't often get insight into.
But ultimately, this is an "I love you" to the grace we can pay as humans with the capability to simply let go when we know it's time.

Did you know that Western civilization has influenced the lives of almost everyone alive today?
What do you know about Western civilization? It might sound like a funny question to ask, but a lot of people don’t realize how much the West has impacted the world. The values of Western civilization have influenced laws, people’s sense of individuality, and even our morals.
This audiobook will trace Western civilization back to its roots. In this epic quest, we head all the way back to Greece when Greek philosophers like Socrates and Plato pondered the very meaning of life. Explore the depths of knowledge that were probed by Greek schools of thought, such as the Stoics and the Cynics.
Was it better to stoically grin and bear the troubles of life as the Stoics advised, or was it better to simply shrug one’s shoulders and declare everything to be pointless, stupid, and absurd?
And in the middle of these philosophers’ quest, a missionary from Judea named Paul of Tarsus stepped in to spread the “good news” of the Gospels. Christianity and other schools of thought converged, and the Roman Empire helped to facilitate the spread of these ideas far and wide. Soon, the foundations for Western civilization had been firmly established.
These ideas would later undergo renaissances, reformations, and scientific revolutions, but the basic foundation has remained in place. Here, in this audiobook, we explore all of the fascinating aspects of the great framework upon which our modern Western civilization rests.
In this audiobook, you will learn the following:Greek philosophical and scientific discoveriesThe convergence of Greco-Roman and Christian beliefsHow Western civilization transformed during the Middle AgesAnd much more!
