Sinopse

One is in everything. One lives throughout the universe and beyond...

One of the most remarkable women writers of the mid-twentieth century, Margiad Evans is a key post-modern Welsh author in the English language.

Written as a series of nature journals, Margiad Evans' Autobiography (1943), is an extraordinary experiment in what she called 'earth writing'. It explores in delicate and precise detail the writer's intensely-felt, even mystical relationship with the natural world. From 1941, she lived in a farmworker's cottage, Potacre, on the summit of a hill above Llangarron and in sight of the Welsh mountains. A meditation on the difficulty of translating the reality of the 'now' into words, Autobiography traces a spiritual journey towards understanding the profound connection between all living things.

In this sequel to The Night Inside, a vampire couple’s relationship is tested by the modern world as a mysterious stranger hunts them down. With a dark embrace from five-hundred-year-old vampire Dimitri Rozokov, Ardeth Alexander left behind her mortal life in Toronto. Now they are attempting to forge a new life in Banff, Alberta.—and They share an unspoken agreement not to feed on humans and hunt wild animals off the beaten paths of the national park instead. However, their new reality is far from easy, and elk blood can never fully satisfy their hunger. Angry and unhappy, Ardeth longs for the life she left behind and returns to Toronto. But the machinations of a century-old Japanese vampire soon reunite the couple. Once a feudal lord, now a yakuza boss, Sademori Fujiwara shares his extraordinary life story. It is a tale that can answer the questions of love, mortality, and morality threatening to tear Ardeth and Dimitri apart for good. But the price for those answers is dangerously high . . . “Baker writes about the vampires next door . . . they bicker over petty, everyday things. They are jealous when a partner flirts with someone. They worry about paying the rent . . . ‘They’re Canadian,’ she says.” —The Vancouver Sun “Baker evokes the various figures from Japanese culture familiar in the West—yakuza, samurai and medieval court ladies and their pillow books—but she goes beyond clichés and invests these characters with a solidity and poignancy that contrast sharply with the simpler Canadian horror of The Night Inside. This is a more contemplative offering.” —Paragraph

A stranger's desperate plea in a shadowed bar pulls me into the enigma of Axton Crescent, where relentless tales of ghostly chaos plague a collector's opulent estate. Despite our meticulous investigations yielding no trace of the supernatural, the staff's fervent claims and the allure of the master's exotic relics prompt me to call on Gwen Honeycutt's keen insight to unravel the truth.
The burden of truth cuts deeper still, as my own honesty about past indiscretions shatters my engagement, while my friend's growing despair casts a pall over our efforts.
This is the eleventh book of the Paranormology Series.

There is a hard brightness overlying the emotion and the human suffering and the human passions… Mr. Ford achieves not only what is probably his own best work but what is certainly one of the ablest of recent English novels. — The New York Times, 1924
There are not many English novels which deserve to be called great: Parade's End is one of them. — W. H. Auden
Ford Madox Ford's Parade's End tetralogy, written in the aftermath of World War I, was originally published in four parts in the 1920s: Some Do Not…; No More Parades; A Man Could Stand Up —; and Last Post. Highlighting the tension between traditional values and a rapidly changing social order in a world embroiled in war, the story details Tietjens' turmoils in both his personal life and on the warfront—and what follows when some of those struggles become one and the same.
Unique among other war fiction of the time, Parade's End privileges not the conflict of the Great War itself, but the impact the war had on its participants and upon society writ large. With it's publication, Ford hoped to contribute to the obviating of all future wars.
Parade's End is often referred to as one of the greatest 20th century novels, and one of the best depictions of war in literature. The 2012 television adaptation, written by Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love), directed by Susanna White (Andor) and starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Rebecca Hall, was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards and seven BAFTA Television Awards.

A young Native American woman remembers her volatile childhood as she searches for her lost brother in the Canadian wilds in an extraordinary, critically acclaimed debut novelAs she races along Canada’s Douglas Channel in her speedboat—heading toward the place where her younger brother Jimmy, presumed drowned, was last seen—twenty-year-old Lisamarie Hill recalls her younger days. A volatile and precocious Native girl growing up in Kitamaat, the Haisla Indian reservation located five hundred miles north of Vancouver, Lisa came of age standing with her feet firmly planted in two different worlds: the spiritual realm of the Haisla and the sobering “real” world with its dangerous temptations of violence, drugs, and despair. From her beloved grandmother, Ma-ma-oo, she learned of tradition and magic; from her adored, Elvis-loving uncle Mick, a Native rights activist on a perilous course, she learned to see clearly, to speak her mind, and never to bow down. But the tragedies that have scarred her life and ultimately led her to these frigid waters cannot destroy her indomitable spirit, even though the ghosts that speak to her in the night warn her that the worst may be yet to come. Easily one of the most admired debut novels to appear in many a decade, Eden Robinson’s Monkey Beach was immediately greeted with universal acclaim—called “gripping” by the San Diego Union-Tribune, “wonderful” by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and “glorious” by the Globe and Mail, earning nominations for numerous literary awards before receiving the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize. Evocative, moving, haunting, and devastatingly funny, it is an extraordinary read from a brilliant literary voice that must be heard.

In Forced into Ecstasy, lust isn’t something you can resist—it grabs hold of you, rough and unrelenting, pulling you under until you can’t think of anything else. Every touch is a demand, every breath a moan, and every look promises something darker, something you’re aching to give in to. Dominance is more than control here—it’s ownership, and submission becomes the only thing that feels right, the only release from the tension that keeps building with every second. The heat between bodies is undeniable. Every kiss is hungry, every thrust harder, deeper, pushing you past your limits. Pleasure isn’t gentle—it’s raw, consuming, taking you apart piece by piece until there’s nothing left but the overwhelming need to surrender. Pain and pleasure blur, each spank, each bite, each moment of resistance melting into a world where you crave more, where every second teases you toward the edge. With every encounter, you’re dragged deeper into a realm where boundaries are crossed, control is lost, and pleasure is taken, not asked for. Rough hands pin you down, hungry mouths explore every inch, and the moans that fill the air make it clear—there’s no turning back. Threesomes, gangbangs, BDSM—it’s a raw, uninhibited journey through desire at its most intense, where your darkest fantasies are not just whispered but demanded, and you can’t help but beg for more.
Are you ready to be consumed? To lose control, give in completely, and let the fire of desire pull you to places you’ve never dared go? Forced into Ecstasy takes you there, where every limit is broken, and the only thing that matters is how much more you can take.
