Sinopse

'It doesn't happen all the time. That you really connect with someone. It's rare to meet someone like you.'
Gabriel Dolan's never been up to much. That's what everyone says. Until she meets Alex, a young, ambitious woman who sells essential oils for a multi-level marketing company called Paradise – and overnight, Gabriel is drawn into a bright, new, floral-scented world.
In Paradise, you're your own boss. In Paradise, you could make a fortune. Embraced by a new community of women just like her, Gabriel rises through the ranks of the company like a shooting star. But when she gets to the top, it doesn't quite feel like she thought it would.
Margaret Perry's Paradise Now! is a funny and raging play about ambition, exploitation and the search for connection in a fractured world. It was first performed by an all-female cast at the Bush Theatre, London, in December 2022, directed by Jaz Woodcock-Stewart.

'Once they've been here long enough, they're no longer squatters. Then they're simply…
    Neighbours.'
In the quaint suburban community of Stillwater, a mysterious shack springs up from the dust with the inhabitants nowhere to be seen. As speculation abounds, new residents Sihle and Bonolo are recruited by their neighbourhood to be the face of a campaign to demolish the shack.
Funny, thrilling and provocative, Amy Jephta's play A Good House is an explosive exploration of race, resentment and community politics, about a couple who discover the limits of good neighbourliness and what is required to fit in.
It was first performed at the Royal Court Theatre, London, in 2025, directed by Nancy Medina, in a co‑production with Bristol Old Vic in association with The Market Theatre, Johannesburg.

"Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show."

Follow the life of David Copperfield from his idyllic childhood in Blunderstone to the harsh realities of a London bottling factory and his eventual rise as a successful author. Dickens weaves a sprawling narrative of hardship and triumph, populated by a cast of characters so vivid they have become archetypes of the English language.

A Tapestry of Human Experience: Experience the warmth of the Peggotty family living in their upturned boat-house on the Yarmouth sands, and endure the chilling cruelty of the stepfather, Mr. Murdstone. Witness the eternal optimism of the debt-ridden Mr. Micawber—always waiting for "something to turn up"—and the "umblemished" villainy of the "umble" Uriah Heep.

The Personal Masterpiece: David Copperfield is Dickens at the height of his powers, blending humor, pathos, and social critique. It explores the complexities of marriage, the cruelty of child labor, and the importance of perseverance. More than a story of one man, it is a grand observation of the Victorian era, filled with the "discipline of the heart" that transforms a boy into a man of character.

A journey of a thousand memories. Purchase "David Copperfield" today and discover the heart and soul of Dickensian literature.

In [SQUELCH PROCEDURES], MLA Chernoff contemplates the ways that trauma, poverty, and strict gender norms rupture the concept of childhood. The tension of multiple meanings in the word “squelch” acts as a guide to Chernoff’s unique voice, which uses language to swaddle intrusive thoughts and mimic defense mechanisms such as avoidance, depersonalization, and derealization. [SQUELCH PROCEDURES] is an ambitious attempt to show how healing and regression are often indistinguishable, while the past is always predisposed to happen more than once: first as tragedy, then as farce.

A Gateway Has Opened is a poetry collection by Hong Kong-based poet, LIAM BLACKFORD, containing 36 missives on truth and reality, anger and rage, complexity and change, and power as manifested in people, corporations, governments, borders and cultures. The poems inhabit a chaotic and psychedelic world where water flows into the sky, nightclubs have hundreds of floors and where banks and malls publish theories on knowledge and personhood. Therein, human society is fraught with harm and violence but also euphoric with the widening horizons of possibility. The collection is notable for its strict adherence to a unique poetic form (each poem has six stanzas, each stanza with six lines, and each line with six syllables), which in its red-eyed absoluteness suggests that the poems are giving voice to an alien, an angel or a machine. Though avant-garde and philosophical, the collection is highly reflective of the poet’s place and time, in which Hong Kong is at the epicentre of epochal political and cultural change.
“The poems ... ‘quiver with tension’ as the speaker straddles the liminal space between dreams and the mundane.” —Ryan Fenton. “In Blackford’s verse, one is in our world, with its political and environmental anxieties, with its affluence and parallel unease.”―Andrew S. Guthrie, Proverse Prize Finalist 2013. “... what bubbles beneath the surface is the courage to find astounding beauty and inspiration amidst confounding and cruelty, and hold them both.” —Jack Mayer, Winner of the Proverse Prize 2019. “...unique explorations of poetic form.”—Philip Mead, Emeritus Professor, University of Western Australia.  “Blackford’s worlds are jarring and harsh; psychedelic yet pungent with our reality. His strict form is muscular and fascinating. Gateway seethes with energy – I loved it.”―David West, Western Australia.
