Sinopsis

Machine learning (ML) and high-performance computing (HPC) on AWS run compute-intensive workloads across industries and emerging applications. Its use cases can be linked to various verticals, such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD), genomics, and autonomous vehicles.
This book provides end-to-end guidance, starting with HPC concepts for storage and networking. It then progresses to working examples on how to process large datasets using SageMaker Studio and EMR. Next, you’ll learn how to build, train, and deploy large models using distributed training. Later chapters also guide you through deploying models to edge devices using SageMaker and IoT Greengrass, and performance optimization of ML models, for low latency use cases.
By the end of this book, you’ll be able to build, train, and deploy your own large-scale ML application, using HPC on AWS, following industry best practices and addressing the key pain points encountered in the application life cycle.

How Did I Become a Liar? is a raw, honest, and deeply emotional memoir of a man who learned to hide behind lies long before he learned to speak with confidence.
Vusimzi Ishmael Faku takes you on a powerful journey through childhood shame, rejection, stuttering, insecurity, and the silent battles no one ever saw. Each lie became a survival tool, a shield, and a mask — until the mask began to crack.
This book exposes how lies can shape identity, relationships, destiny, and even how we see God. But it is not just a confession — it is a testimony of healing, transformation, forgiveness, and becoming the man truth was always calling him to be.
If you've ever struggled with fear, acceptance, identity, or the shame of your past, this book will speak to your soul. It will challenge you, comfort you, and remind you that truth still sets us free — even after years of hiding.

The COVID-19 pandemic exposed the vulnerabilities of our globalized food system and highlighted the desperate need for local and regional supplies of healthy meat. We must replace corn-based feedlots, which are responsible for significant climate emissions, nitrogen pollution, and animal suffering. Grass-Fed Beef for a Post-Pandemic World outlines a hopeful path out of our broken food system via regional networks of regeneratively produced meat. In 2017, Ridge Shinn and Lynne Pledger went to market with Big Picture Beef, a company that partners with farmers across the Northeast to increase access to wholesale markets while promoting holistic grazing management techniques. The result? Increased health benefits for consumers, the environment, and livestock. This book compiles information from the fields of ecology, climate science, nutrition, and animal welfare, along with on-the-farm stories from Ridge’s travels as a consultant all over the world. It reveals that regenerative grazing can restore degraded farmland, protect against droughts and floods, increase biodiversity, combat climate change by reducing emissions and sequestering carbon, contribute to regional economic development, and produce nutrient-dense meat for consumers. This book is for anyone wondering how our farmers and ranchers can raise cattle while also caring for the local and global environment. It includes a foreword by Gabe Brown, the bestselling author of Dirt to Soil.

A look at the Lewis and Clark Expedition and the plant specimens the great explorers gathered on their way—and of their amazing afterlife.Elizabeth Adelman's Chasing the Missing Monkeyflower is the two hundred-year saga of finding, losing, and finding the wild plants collected on America's first exploration west, the Lewis and Clark Expedition.Thomas Jefferson handpicked Meriwether Lewis to lead the expedition, gather notable specimens along the way, and then write the journals, with one volume to include science-worthy descriptions and classifications of the plants that Lewis collected and pressed to preserve. Not a botanist, Lewis needed help to write this part of the journals.Ambition, deceit, theft, wealth, debt, alcoholism, loss, suicide, serendipity, and stubborn persistence cross the plants' paths in Philadelphia, New York, and London. This is the first work detailing the places, practices, and times of a cavalcade of people who touched the plants. A fascinating chronicle of an unexplored byway of the great American story.
