Whether preparing for exams or improving everyday English, readers will find this dictionary user-friendly and effective. Each entry is carefully curated for modern relevance and ease of understanding. Scientific, technological, and grammatical terms are also included, making it a valuable all-rounder. *** 2014 Winner Bronze Moonbeam Award: Best Chapter Book Series ***Boone Mason couldn't believe his eyes! He really does exist, he thought, as his left hand trembled on the bow. Thirty yards away was the biggest buck he'd ever seen. It was a moment he'd been waiting for all his young life. Somehow his quivering right hand found the bowstring. His heart hammered as he struggled to calm his frantic breathing. Slowly the enormous buck turned...and looked directly at the young hunter's tree stand. Boone held his breath and froze... Thirteen-year-old Boone Mason came face to face with the buck of a lifetime. Would he find the faith to believe he could make the shot, or would he believe the old man who taunted him in his dreams, telling him he didn't have what it takes to bring the buck down? People came from miles around to get a glimpse of the legendary buck and maybe even get a chance to take it themselves as a record-breaking trophy. Would this young hunter beat them all to the prize or would he let his doubts get in the way? Hunting was an important part of his family's heritage, and Boone hoped more than anything to add to their list of achievements with a remarkable story of his own. He was about to find out!

    Luke 15: 11-31
    The Prodigal Son
Jesus gave them a parable and said, “A man had two sons.”
“The younger son said to his father, Father, give me my inheritance from now.”
“The father gave his two sons their inheritance.”
“Some days later, the younger son packed his bags and went out of the country into another far country and there he spent his money foolishly.”
“Now when he had spent all his money in that same country came a great famine.”
“When this happened, he then began to be in need. He went and stayed with a citizen of that country, and he sent him out to work on the pig farm. He fed the pigs.”
“And he ate the food that was for the pigs because no one gave him anything to eat.”
“Then one day, he looked into himself and said, why am I here? How many of my father’s servants have enough bread to eat and I am here starving.”
“I will get up and go back home to my father and say, I am sorry, and I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son but please make me a hired worker.”

Marisol the Memorable is a heartwarming rhyming picture book about mindfulness, creativity, and the beauty of everyday moments. Marisol loves capturing life through her camera lens—everything from sunny smiles to silly shoelaces. But when her coach encourages her to put the camera down and join in the fun, Marisol learns an important lesson: sometimes the best memories are made when you’re fully present.
This thoughtful story celebrates photography, friendship, and finding balance between observing life and living it. A beautiful addition to the Tales from Cloud Canyon series, this book encourages kids to value both creativity and connection. Great for classroom discussions about mindfulness, perspective-taking, and the many ways we tell our stories.

THE GIRL BROWNIES – ASHDOWN FOREST, ENGLAND 1919
Book 5 of 6 The Ashdown Forest Festival
The summary of this fifth book in the series is as follows:
The Girl Brownies prepare to perform their lantern adventure at Ashdown's first post-war Peace Festival. When their prized replica lantern disappears hours before the show, they spring into action - following muddy footprints (child-sized!), interrogating the village prankster, and ultimately discovering the lantern was mistakenly taken by historian Mr. Finch for his exhibit. After retrieving it, their performance becomes the festival highlight, blending storytelling with their real-life mystery-solving.
The adventure continues when Mr. Finch invites them to examine his museum's authentic lantern collection, hinting at future discoveries. Through the festival's celebrations, the girls witness their community healing from war while cementing their reputation as Ashdown's cleverest young detectives.
The initial opening credit music, “Joyful Journey”, which does run to approximately 2 minutes sets the scene, so to speak, recorder, tambourine, guitar and accordion in a folk/classical and cheerful mood. The closing music, “Bloom”, ends the tale on with more of the same at about 2 minutes and the same musical instruments etc. but more of an ending feel.
The story and music itself runs to just about 14 minutes and is narrated in my wife's voice, Claire, who actually was a ranger guide!
I do hope you enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come
