  Robert Burns, the national bard (poet) of Scotland was born on the 25th January, 1759. Scotland and all Burns fans the world over, including Librivox, were celebrating the 250th anniversary of Burns' birthday throughout 2009 and it seemed only proper to record a collection of his poems and songs.   Librivox’s weekly poetry project for the week of February 5, 2006 offers fourteen versions of "The Song My Paddle Sings" from the collection Flint and Feather by E. Pauline Johnson. 
  E. Pauline Johnson, also known as Tekahionwake, was born to the Mohawk Chief G.H.M. Johnson (Onwanonsyshon), and his wife, Emily S. Howells, a lady of pure English parentage.  Pauline, born and raised in Canada, was a great reader and began writing poetry as a child. She died in 1913 after having poetry published in periodicals in several countires and collections of her work published in book form.   Peter and Debbie are enjoying a cruise – a celebration of twenty years of marriage, and a break from their annoying teenagers. They befriend fellow passenger, Elsa Jean Krakowski, an eccentric American with a fondness for Donald Trump. There's something slightly unsettling in her overeager friendliness... but there's no point rocking the boat if you're about to get off it.
  Back home, in the comfort of suburbia, Elsa suddenly turns up on Peter and Debbie's doorstep, unexpectedly. And when they look up their house guest online, unearthing some hair-raising evidence, their good nature is challenged as never before. What kind of danger have they allowed to take up residence in their guest room? And can they bring themselves to say anything about it? Sometimes, the truth is just too impolite.
  Steven Moffat's play The Unfriend takes a hilarious and satirical look at middle-class England's disastrous instinct always to appear nice. It was first performed at the Minerva Theatre, Chichester, in May 2022, directed by Mark Gatiss, with a cast including Amanda Abbington, Frances Barber and Reece Shearsmith.

  The Motherhood Project draws together dramatic monologues and real-life reflections by some of the UK's leading writers, artists and thinkers, and explores all the guilt, joy and absurdity, the regrets, pressures and taboos surrounding motherhood.
  The project features work by Kalhan Barath, E. V. Crowe, Juno Dawson, Suhayla El-Bushra, Jodi Gray, Hannah Khalil, Katherine Kotz, Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, Siggi Mwasote, Irenosen Okojie, Anya Reiss, Naomi Sheldon, Lemn Sissay MBE, Athena Stevens and Joelle Taylor.
  It was produced online in 2021 by Katherine Kotz in association with Drift Studio, and presented in association with Battersea Arts Centre, London.

  In many ways the title says it all. Kissing is poetry. The kiss is perhaps the most loving and intimate moment there is. It is amongst our most soothing and treasured memories. And perhaps also our most erotic.  This volume is not about the kiss of a mother to her child's scraped knee, or the father to his baby's head as he settles down to sleep.   Based on a true story, The White Bike is an affecting play about what happens when our world is turned upside down. It was premiered in 2017 at The Space, London, in a production directed by Lily McLeish.
  Tamara von Werthern is the founder and producer of Fizzy Sherbet, a new-writing initiative for women writers from across the world. This edition also includes her short plays Baby Dolls and The Village Church.
