Beschreibung

These are difficult times. The Covid-19 pandemic has proved to us that we cannot rely on tomorrow to be like today, there is no such thing as 'business as usual'. The social and economic upheaval has been devastating, and its effects long-lasting, making these times even more uncertain.
The antidote to this uncertainty is clarity.
Maanda Tshifularo has had the privilege of interacting with successful innovators, culture shifters, business leaders and thought leaders, and their 'common success denominator' is the ability to see, say, and do things, with purposeful clarity.
He has identified 'Super Clarity' as the differentiator that helps leaders navigate the ambiguity and half-heartedness which have become the default state in many organisations, leading to plummeting employee morale and productivity.
Not only does a super-clear leader achieve and make a meaningful contribution, but they also experience remarkable joy and personal growth in the journey.
It has never been more crucial for leaders to provide clarity and, in this book, Maanda defines and explains the importance of Super Clarity, and how to translate purpose into our day-to-day activities to unlock exceptional results, job satisfaction, team cohesion and employee engagement.
He outlines in Lead with Super Clarity the critical steps that we can take, as business leaders or in our own lives, to foster clarity, and, in so doing, create an environment characterised by purpose, insight and alignment.
Maanda Tshifularo is the CEO and Founder of SuperLead Advisory (a strategy, operations and leadership consultancy), an adjunct faculty at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), an executive coach (Integral Coach UCT GSB and certified Gallup Strength Coach) and host of the SuperLead podcast and leadership summits. As an experienced executive, he has a track-record of leading business turn-arounds, new business ventures development and driving innovation and growth initiatives.

The Hanseatic League, often simply referred to as the Hansa, emerged during the late Middle Ages as a powerful and influential commercial and defensive confederation of merchant guilds and market towns in northern Europe. Its origins can be traced back to the 12th century, a time when trade across Europe was expanding, and the need for security, consistency, and cooperation among merchants became more apparent. In this period of growing urbanization and shifting political structures, the groundwork was laid for what would become one of the most successful trade networks of the medieval world.
Before the League formally took shape, various Germanic merchants had already been engaged in trade across the North and Baltic Seas. These early trade routes connected regions like modern-day Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, and the Baltic states. Merchant groups began forming guilds—organized associations that provided mutual protection, standardized trade practices, and a collective voice in foreign cities. These early guilds were critical in shaping the cooperative ethos that would later define the Hanseatic League.
The political and economic environment of medieval Europe also contributed to the League's formation. The decline of centralized imperial authority, particularly in the Holy Roman Empire, left towns and cities to manage their own economic affairs. This autonomy encouraged local leaders and merchants to seek regional alliances to protect trade interests and ensure the safe passage of goods and people. At the same time, the Crusades had opened new routes and markets, boosting the importance of northern European trade centers.

In today's fractured world, collaboration is increasingly difficult yet more crucial than ever. Often, to get something done that really matters, we need to work with people we don't agree with, like, or trust. Drawing from thirty-plus years of experience working with leaders in over fifty countries, Adam Kahane shows why conventional collaboration—requiring harmony and agreement—is obsolete. Instead, he provides a groundbreaking approach that embraces discord, experimentation, and genuine cocreation.

Kahane introduces three key stretches to navigate difficult collaborations:

    ● Stretch to embrace conflict and connection

    ● Stretch to experiment and learn

    ● Stretch to step into the game

This substantially revised second edition adds multiple new chapters exploring how to work across deepening divides and with those we may never agree with. Using new case studies, a discussion guide, and frameworks for navigating permanent plurality in our polarized times, Kahane offers essential tools for transforming conflict into positive change.
