Sinopse

It's the late sixties in St. Louis, Missouri and four little boys come across a strange package in an abandoned building in the middle of Carr Square, a low-income housing complex right next to Pruitt-Igoe, the giant new housing project. Opening that package sets off a ticking time bomb for the two communities that could lead to a war if Michael, Tim, Tony, and Stevie can't stop the wheels that have been set in motion by an unknown force.

Set in obscurity next to the historical Pruitt-Igoe Housing Project, Carr Square fights for its survival in an ever-crowded urban renewal, and the boys of Carr Square match wits against the worst gangster in the midwest.

Five insomniacs try to make it through the night. From dusk to dawn, they struggle with a crisis in their lives which they must resolve by morning. Increasingly conscious of their shortening futures and lengthening pasts, they fill their nights with distracting activities, desperate sleep techniques, evaluations of their lives, delusions, fears, panics and utter foolishness as they prepare to face the day.
Five Characters in Search of a Good Night's Sleep was first performed by ViSiBLE Theatre Ensemble at Southwark Playhouse, London, in 2022, in a production directed by Mike Alfreds. It was devised and written by Mike Alfreds with Sonja Linden and members of the company.

Henry VIII's court is a stage for love and treachery, where the weapons of choice are sex, marriage – and the executioner's axe. As Henry's mistress, Mary Boleyn is a pawn in her family's lust for power. Queen Katherine of Aragon hasn't produced a male heir, and Mary's ruthless uncle scents the chance of putting his niece on the throne.
But Henry's wandering eye has fallen on another: Mary's headstrong sister, Anne, whose ambition not only threatens to destroy her bond with Mary, but shakes the foundations of Church and State.
Based on Philippa Gregory's internationally bestselling novel, The Other Boleyn Girl is a brilliant evocation of intrigue at the Tudor court – a racy and riveting drama of events that changed the course of English history. This stage adaptation by Mike Poulton was premiered at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2024, directed by Lucy Bailey.
