Sinopsis

Rare Stamps Trade unveils the potential of rare stamps as alternative investments, guiding readers through the nuances of philately. It emphasizes that stamp investing, beyond a simple hobby, requires understanding what drives stamp value and how to spot fakes. Did you know that the value of a stamp can be influenced by historical events or that some stamps are rarer than others due to printing errors? The book progresses from basic concepts like stamp identification and grading to advanced strategies for building a stamp portfolio. Key chapters explore identifying investment-grade stamps, managing risks, and understanding tax implications. This approach equips readers with practical tools to navigate the stamp market, whether they are seasoned collectors or new investors.

What makes this book unique is its blend of finance and philately, offering a step-by-step approach to assessing risk, identifying undervalued stamps, and building a diversified portfolio. It's not just about collecting; it's about understanding the market dynamics and making informed decisions to potentially profit from this often-overlooked asset class.

    STRANGER THINGS
THE ULTIMATE TRIVIA AND CURIOUS FACTS COLLECTION

    CREATED BY TRIVIA HUB

Stranger Things is an American science fiction horror drama created by the Duffer Brothers for Netflix. The series is set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. The show follows the residents of Hawkins as they grapple with a hostile alternate dimension known as the Upside Down. The first season begins in 1983 when Will Byers is abducted by a creature from the Upside Down. The series has been praised for its characterization, atmosphere, acting, soundtrack, directing, writing, and homages to 1980s films. The show has also received numerous nominations and awards. The fifth and final season is expected to be released in 2025.

    CURIOUS FACT SAMPLES:

The original title for Stranger Things was Montauk, and it was set in Long Island, New York, before the creators changed it to the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. The shift allowed them to have more creative control over the town, like placing it under quarantine, which wouldn't be possible with a real location.

The Duffer Brothers drew inspiration from 1980s pop culture, including films by Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, and Stephen King, as well as video games like Silent Hill and Dark Souls. They also took inspiration from the Cold War era and government conspiracy theories, such as Project MKUltra.

The series' title font and appearance were inspired by Stephen King's novel Firestarter, after Netflix requested the showrunners come up with a new title for the show. The title Stranger Things was chosen because it sounded similar to King's Needful Things.

Lauren Weedman's hilarious essays are like a compendium of what not to do as a fully-realized, functional adult. Her self-deprecating, confessional, and terribly funny voice finds a special place in the hearts of those who can relate to her—which, for better or worse, includes all of us. From the uproarious account of her time at the Daily Show, where she developed an entirely one-sided infatuation with Jon Stewart, to the time she read her boyfriend's diary with disastrous results, Lauren's work is filled with the wit, honesty, and personality that make for great personal writing.
