Sinopsis

"Healthy Sleep" offers a comprehensive exploration into the science of sleep, providing readers with actionable strategies to improve their sleep quality. The book delves into the significance of sleep cycles and addresses common sleep disorders like insomnia and sleep apnea, emphasizing that quality sleep is vital for cognitive function and overall well-being. You'll discover how sleep is not just a passive state but an active biological process essential for physical restoration and memory consolidation.

The book uniquely emphasizes that optimizing sleep involves understanding and addressing the underlying factors influencing its quality, rather than solely focusing on the number of hours spent in bed. It highlights intriguing connections between sleep and other aspects of health, such as the impact of diet and exercise on sleep patterns, as well as the interplay between sleep and mental health conditions like anxiety and depression. By using scientific evidence and clear language, "Healthy Sleep" empowers readers to take control of their sleep health.

The book progresses logically, starting with the fundamentals of sleep science and the circadian rhythm, then moving into common sleep disorders and their treatments, and culminating in practical strategies for improving sleep quality. These strategies include dietary recommendations, exercise guidelines, and the establishment of healthy bedtime routines, offering a complete toolkit for sleep improvement.

The only goal Prince Syrius Fortune of Rosenhip had during his twin sister's "meet the suitors" ball, was to stay quiet and out of the way. His sister's event had been in the planning for five years, and he and his loving father had already agreed trying to seek a wedding contract for himself was not a good idea. Prince Syrius had quirks, and it wasn't as though he needed to open himself up to ridicule from someone else, especially a spouse he would have to get to know. The event was only a week, and being a lot smaller than his older brothers, Syrius was used to not being seen. Until someone saw him.
King Mintyn of Marinkaw had been a soldier since he was fifteen years old. He was not impressed to find out the one time of the year he was supposed to be meeting King Fortune to sign their Golden Straits agreement was apparently the one time his friend decided to have a huge event going on.
However, his aide told him he had been invited, and it was only one ball. Mintyn could enjoy some good food, network a while, and then leave the following morning once the treaty was signed. That was until he saw a young vision being hassled by an entitled duke. On learning the vision being hassled was his friend's youngest son, Mintyn decided to intervene. It was a nice thing to do. One shortened dance later as Prince Syrius walked away from him after he put his foot in his mouth, Mintyn told his aide to rejiggle his schedule. He had a spouse to woo.
This is one of those light stories that my muse weaves sometimes simply to make people smile. There are no deep and meaningful plot lines, just a bit fun between two men who look so unsuited for each other on the surface of things, but their pairing proves opposites do attract and stay together. It is in the same universe as the Infidelity Clause but is totally standalone. Watch for cameo appearances by a cupcake eating dragon, an episode of prince throwing, and potato cuffs.

The Sword of Deborah contains the reflections of a woman journalist visiting women working behind the lines in France during World War I. She writes: "I was glad to have seen all the different convoys I had, because no two had been to me alike, and to each I am indebted for a differing expression of the same vision, which is the vision splendid of a duty undertaken gladly and sustained with courage. From my first convoys -- the Fannies and the G.S.V.A.D.'s -- I got the wonderful facts of it, at the V.A.D. Convoy at E---- I caught that side of it which I as most glad of all to encounter, and at the V.A.D. Convoy at T----- I found that delightful spirit of sheer joy in danger which is too precious to be allowed to die out of the worked just because their happens to be, at present, such a great deal too much danger let loose upon it."
