A travelogue detailing Charles Dickens’s tour of North America In January of 1842, Charles Dickens and his wife, Kate, traveled from Liverpool to Boston. At the time, Dickens had already attained a tremendous level of literary success and fame, and the author hoped his travels would help him gain insight into the New World that had captivated the English imagination. Over the ensuing 6 months, Dickens explored the East Coast and Great Lakes regions of the United States and Canada, observing life on the opposite side of the Atlantic from a distinctly British viewpoint.   By turns humorous, critical, witty, and incisive, this travelogue is a unique and keen look at 19th-century North America. This ebook has been professionally proofread to ensure accuracy and readability on all devices.

The Wisdom of Father Brown is the second book in the series of cases involving the eccentric yet competent detective.
Invented by renowned author, essayist and journalist G. K. Chesterton, Father Brown is an amateur sleuth whose day job involves preaching to his congregation at church. Chesterton himself was a committed Christian who wrote volumes of essays and fiction surrounding faith and spirituality, and would base his Father Brown stories upon a priest - Father John O'Connor - he himself knew.
Despite its intention as a parody, the Father Brown books became a popular hit in early 20th century Britain as well as the USA. Today they remain a well-considered and much-liked classic series which fans of detective fiction return to more than a century after their original publication.
Characterised by his easily digestible style, ready use and exposure of paradox, and his use of wit and humour to advance argument, Chesterton's fiction and non-fiction writings on the topics of human behaviour and wider society remain relevant and poignant to this day.

Are you ready to embrace your life with your whole heart?
Part biography, part master class, Living the Braveheart Life will challenge readers to fight to win on the greatest battlefield of all: the one inside the human heart, the one where an individual stands alone before God.
Once chosen as a speaker at the National Prayer Breakfast, Wallace shares how reflecting back on his life and career at that moment opened his eyes. “I’m not a philosopher or a preacher; I’m a storyteller, like Jesus. As nearly as I can tell, that’s my only similarity with him. Except for one other thing: like him, I’ve also cried out, ‘My God, why have you forsaken me?’” Fans of Braveheart will see how the Spirit who created Braveheart formed Randall Wallace’s life and career. Not the other way around.
