Sinopsis

Virginia plantation life is all she has ever known.
But could the life she was meant to live be waiting on a distant shore?

In 1774, Juliet Catesby lives with her father and sister at Royal Vale, the James River plantation founded by her Virginia family over a century before. Indigo cultivation is her foremost concern, though its export tethers her family to the powerful Buchanan clan of Glasgow, Scotland.

When the heir of the Buchanan firm arrives on their shores, Juliet discovers that her father has arranged for one of his daughters to marry the Scot as a means of canceling the family's crippling debt. Confident it will be her younger, lovelier sister, Juliet is appalled when Leith Buchanan selects her instead.

Despite her initial refusal, Juliet realizes that fleeing Virginia is her only choice after finding herself in the midst of a scandal. The ship just leaving the harbor for Glasgow is her only hope. But she will soon realize that being part of the complex and calculating Buchanan clan is not the sanctuary she imagined--and the man who saved her from ruin is the very one she must now save in return.

A titan of 19th century fantasy literature, George MacDonald also left an astonishing collection of sermons, Unspoken Sermons, which are amongst the finest to be found in the English language. About these sermons, C.S. Lewis wrote: “I know hardly any other writer who seems to be closer, or more continually close, to the Spirit of Christ Himself.”
The Unspoken Sermons are timeless, beyond time even, and are as clear and as relevant today as they were when they were written in the 1860’s. Taken together they paint a thrilling picture of life, faith, and love that soars beyond the petty doctrines, silly rules, and judgmental dogmas that, alas, have dimmed Christianity in the eyes of so many.
Airfish Productions hopes you will enjoy this new rendition of Unspoken Sermons here performed by the masterful voice artist Sean Pratt!

Growing up in the only Korean family in a Minnesota town, Michelle Lee-Barnewall has felt the pain of racial discrimination and the resulting identity confusion that follows. Through the telling of her personal story, she seeks to transcend the current divide between those who emphasize social justice concerns and those who believe these concerns compromise the core of the gospel.
A Longing to Belong integrates a biblical worldview and personal experience on the topic of race and race relations. Lee-Barnewall writes as both a New Testament scholar and an Asian American who has personally experienced what it means to be racially marginalized, seeking to filter those experiences through the lens of the New Testament and what it has to say to us today about our Christian calling and our identity in Christ as a member of his body.
A Longing to Belong spurs readers to consider what it means to live as racially distinctive people in a fallen world that abounds in misunderstanding and pain and is in desperate need of the gospel of grace, especially as manifested in the redeemed Christian community. This memoir extends the discussion beyond academic discussion of race relations and personal narratives by demonstrating how theology and experience are necessarily intertwined and mutually contribute to our understanding of race and our relationships with each other. Rather than arguing for one "side," Lee-Barnewall shares examples rooted in her own experience in light of an overarching kingdom theology.

Many people today regard Revelation as the hardest book in the New Testament. It is full of strange, lurid and sometimes bizarre and violent imagery. As a result, many people who are quite at home in the Gospels, Acts and Paul find themselves tiptoeing around Revelation with a sense that they don't really belong there. But they do!
In fact, Revelation offers one of the clearest and sharpest visions of God's ultimate purpose for the whole creation, and of the way in which the powerful forces of evil, at work in a thousand ways, can be and are being overthrown through the victory of Jesus the Messiah and the consequent costly victory of his followers.
Like the other guides in the N.T. Wright for Everyone series, Revelation brings you into a fresh encounter with Scripture under the guidance of one of the world's leading New Testament scholars. Thoughtful questions, prayer suggestions, and useful background information guide you and your group through each study.

George Muller stared at the beggar girl. She was no older than five and was piggybacking her little brother. Her mother had died in the cholera epidemic sweeping England. Her father had never returned from the mines. Standing in the muddy street, this little girl gave a face to Bristol's countless orphans. With scarcely enough food or money for his own family, George Muller opened his heart and home. Sustained by God's provision, the Muller house "Breakfast Club" of thirty orphans grew to five large houses that ultimately over ten thousand children would call home. George Muller trusted God with a depth rarely seen. His faith and generosity set a standard for Christians of all generations.

Defeat the devil every time he attacks.
Many people today believe the devil does not exist. They think he is merely an ancient myth or a metaphor to explain the presence of evil in our world. However, the Bible clearly teaches that Satan is very real–and that he will stop at nothing to bring about our destruction. That’s the bad news. But as Dr. Charles Stanley explains in Overcoming the Enemy, the good news is that Jesus Christ has already defeated the devil–utterly, permanently, and irrevocably. While this does not mean we will never be confronted with his evil, we have the promise that in Christ we will always have the victory over him.
The Charles F. Stanley Bible Study Series is a unique approach to Bible study, incorporating biblical truth, personal insights, emotional responses, and a call to action. Each study draws on Dr. Stanley’s many years of teaching the guiding principles found in God’s Word, showing how we can apply them in practical ways to every situation we face. This edition of the series has been completely revised and updated, and includes two brand-new lessons from Dr. Stanley.
