Summary

If it flies, drives, or fornicates, it's cheaper to rent it.
After driving James Harcourt, his wealthy banker boss, around for a year and a half, Cal isn't surprised by much anymore. Not even James's regular trips to Market Garden, London's most elite gay brothel.
But when James leaves the Garden alone one night and turns to Cal instead, Cal's floored. After crushing on his boss for ages, it's his wet dream come true … until the awkward morning after. Cal still has a job to do, but he wants to offer more. Yet James doesn't take him up on it; he keeps Cal at arm's length and continues his chauffeured jaunts to Market Garden.
As Cal learns what James needs from the rentboys, he tries to fill that need himself. But there's more to James's penchant for rentboys than Cal realises, and it may be one role that Cal can't fill without overstepping his duty.

On the day of the assault, I sat peacefully in the park engrossed in a book when slavers descended upon monstrous ships, snatching everyone in sight, myself included.
Transported to the sinister confines of Nuerva, its skyline dominated by jagged edifices, I became the possession of a man known as the Captain, enduring captivity under his cruel whims. It took me many days to summon the courage to flee.
Alone and terrified, I fled to the farthest reaches of the city, where a glimmer of hope awaited. Across the expanse lay another city, vibrant and colorful, promising sanctuary. All I had to do was traverse the bridge.
But fate intervened. At the cusp of freedom, on the threshold between light and darkness, a gunshot shattered my escape.
Yet, my story wasn't over. Death would not claim me yet; destiny had other plans in store.
Note: "The Black City of Nuerva" in print format is an intimate voyage recounted through the eyes of its protagonist in first-person narrative. Throughout the book, the main character fluidly embodies both male and female perspectives. Complementing the narrative are 60 original artworks, each meticulously crafted to reimagine key moments within the story. The creation of this book and its accompanying artwork spanned several years, reflecting the dedication and toil invested in bringing this imaginative world to life.
