Summary

After prolific growth on social media, Komal Kapoor is utilizing her perceptive understanding of romance in the digital age to present her first collection of poems. Unfollowing You tells a chronological tale of a modern love through a series of poems, prose, texts, screen grabs, and unsent letters. Exploring digital phenomena like swipe culture and technological realities, Kapoor’s words affirm experiences and sentiment echoed across many media platforms. Unfollowing You is separated into two parts: “Following You” details how the two protagonists fall in love and “Unfollowing You” shares their heartbreak.  The realism of this collection will encourage readers to normalize growth and indulge in their feelings, even finding strength in them.
Available since: 02/05/2019.

'You weren't moving. Your hair was soaked. We saw you.'
Alice and Michael met six years ago. Three years later their daughter Lily was born. Now, in a Yorkshire meadow, just past midnight, they're having an argument. Because Alice is cold, she's tired, and Michael won't stop telling her that she died twelve hours ago.
A poignant exploration of what it means to say goodbye, This Is Living was first performed in a critically acclaimed and award-winning production at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2014. It had its London premiere at Trafalgar Studios, London, in 2016.

Somewhere at the edge of reality and dreams, a man meets a woman. Both are young, innocent, in a way untouched by the world. What unfolds is a love story not so much written but painted with words and framed by music. Each leads to the last line that is always spoken by the woman in a whisper, the scene a pretext almost for that line to exist. The story has a depth of feeling and tenderness typical of love, and is infused with an illusive mood. It all seems distant, dreamlike, and improbable. And may raise the question: Has it ever happened?  In a sense, the answer is in the text. But perhaps that only takes us further into the unknown.Music weaves with the text, deepens the mood and transfers the whole further into the world of fantasy and dreams. As if the music is filled with its own poeticness. Sometimes it makes up only the mysterious background. At other times it emphasises and accentuates the fragments of imagery. The music, the lyrics, the recitation and the voice itself unite in inconceivable intimacy and create the enchanted space which draws and charms and hypnotizes.

The debut offering from one of the 20th century's most celebrated and renowned humorists, "Enough Rope" was an instant best-seller when it was released in 1926 and made Dorothy Parker a household name. The poems in this collection range from the satiric to the sentimental; wickedly clever and yet elegantly and expertly constructed. Parker's mastery of the turn of phrase or the cynical or sardonic final line instantly grabbed the reading public's attention and propelled Parker into the national spotlight, which she would not relinquish for the rest of her life. Dorothy Parker - social commentator, political reformer and legendary wit - has enjoyed a special place in American culture for almost a century and "Enough Rope" is an early example of Parker's unique and wry commentary on modern life. It is presented here in its original and unabridged format.

The perfect gift for someone you love, an illustrated collection of love poems from the poet considered to be the greatest writer in the English language.   Shakespeare’s sonnets are revered the world over for perfectly capturing the torments and joys of love requited or otherwise in just fourteen lines of iambic pentameter. This treasure of a book collects twenty-nine of the bard’s most romantic sonnets, each one lovingly illustrated by the talented Caitlin Keegan. Pretty and contemporary, the illustrations tastefully accentuate the depth of sentiment in each sonnet. A brilliant sun rises over the Sonnet 17 ( Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? ) and a graceful animal adorns the Sonnet 19 (Devouring time, blunt thou the lion s paws). A wonderful present for Valentine’s Day but appropriate for any spontaneous expression of love, this is an ideal, sophisticated gift for the legions of Shakespeare fans.

The Whistler was one of radio's top mystery programs airing from May 16, 1942, until September 22, 1955. Sponsored by the Signal Oil Company, The Whistler (Bill Forman) was an ominous narrator who knew the killer's every move even before they did. The stories followed an effective formula in which a person's criminal acts were typically undone by their own missteps. The Whistler often commented directly upon the action in the manner of a Greek chorus, taunting the criminal from an omniscient perspective. One of the show's trademarks was the ironic twist endings that helped serve as a payoff for the listener. Radio performers heard in this collection of 12 episodes include: Jane Morgan, Elliott Lewis, Lurene Tuttle, Gerald Mohr and Frank Lovejoy.
