A mystery spans decades at the Rehearsal Club in this story of sisterhood, friendship and following your dreams under marquee lights.

Twelve-year-old Pal Gallagher is a newly minted New Yorker who loves to make people laugh and is hoping to find kindred spirits in her new city. Her older sister, Naomi, lives at the Rehearsal Club, a historic boarding house for aspiring actresses. Pal quickly gets swept up in the glamor and high-stakes of the theater world, and is drawn into a decades-old mystery about Posy, a boarder who was kicked out of the Club for reasons unknown.

In 1954, Olive feels like she is working harder than anyone to make it to Broadway—along with the forty-four other young women who live at the Rehearsal Club. In comparison, her carefree friend Posy is making it look easy. Tensions rise when the two audition for the same part, kicking off a series of events that lead to Posy's departure.

What really happened all those years ago? The truth involves a Broadway play, a necklace, and a secret that Olive has kept all these years—until Pal and her new friends start digging into the past. What they learn could change the very fate of the Rehearsal Club itself.

“The time to sing is when your emotional level is just too high to speak anymore, and the time to dance is when your emotions are just too strong to only sing about how you feel.” – Bob Fosse
By the turn of the 20th century, American entertainment was still preoccupied with European-style operetta, as embodied in the works of cellist-composer Victor Herbert. Traditional dance forms moved from European stories to the American prairie in Oklahoma by the late 1940s, and what was once the property of Bavarian princes became the singing standards of cowboys riding through the corn fields in Oh What a Beautiful Morning and Out of My Dreams.
In terms of original choreography, it was the age of Jerome Robbins that marked the first real departure from traditional dance on stage and in film. Robbins, born in 1918, became a five-time Tony winner and twice winner of an Academy Award. It was into this environment, featuring his West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, and countless other productions, that an intriguing new choreographer made his entry riding the advent of American jazz. Only 10 years Robbin’s junior, Robert Louis Fosse, better known as Bob Fosse, followed his colleague’s example by mixing daring new jazz forms with virtually every traditional and popular genre to produce previously unseen modes of dance expression on Broadway and in film.
In the 1960s, Fosse emerged as one of the leading dancers, actors, choreographers, directors, screenwriters and film directors on Broadway and in Hollywood. He became famous for conquering several fields on the musical stage and film simultaneously in a way that no one has before or since. It is said that “only Busby Berkeley compares” to Fosse despite the fact that Berkeley was never a dancer, and that Fosse enjoyed eight Broadway hits to Berkeley’s one.

When the moon is full and a Bogong breeze stirs the still night air, something magical begins to unfold...
In Once In A Bogong Blue Moon, Alice and her ever-purring, ever-changing cat Stripes find themselves caught between wonder and waiting. As the mysterious Bogong moths prepare for their long migration, Alice is faced with her own quiet challenge: learning the power of patience.
Guided by her giggling Uncle Puggie and comforted by the gentle purrs of her magical feline friend, Alice mishears a grown-up word—Trichotillomania—and thinks it must be something fun, something silly, maybe even a “Tickle Tickle Many.” But as her thoughts wander from moths to moonlight and feelings she doesn’t yet have words for, Alice begins to discover that some things—like moths, emotions, and even tangled thoughts—take time to understand.
This imaginative, heartwarming tale is perfect for readers aged 6–10. It weaves together the quiet magic of nature, the wonder of transformation, and the tender truth that it’s okay not to have all the answers. Sometimes, patience is the most powerful kind of magic.
