Sinopse

Karl Knights' Kin meet inside hospitals and grow up in waiting rooms and hospital cafeterias where 'nobody stares'. These are poems of survival in the face of disability and years of austerity; they are memorials to those who did not make it, powerful and sharply observed.

Based on true events, England's Martyr is the opening book in a trilogy depicting the rise of the historically existing English hero, Edmund Ironside.
1010 AD: After years of inept rule and incessant invasion, England is on the brink of ruin, its people brutalised and its lands ravaged from wave after wave of Norse marauders.
As the country cracks under yet another assault – this time from the fearsome hordes of the cruel heathen warlord, Thorkell the Tall – a single nobleman, Ulfcytel, has set himself to raising an army, thinking it better to fight and perhaps prevail rather than wait for his ill-advised king, Ethelred, to make himself useful.
Whilst Ulfcytel rallies his forces, he is surprised to find reinforcements arriving from elsewhere, some of them led by Alaric – a heroic and Godly man from the lands of Wessex. Inspired by Alaric’s fortitude, Ulfcytel agrees on a daring plan, thinking he has a chance to eliminate Thorkell and thus cut the head from the heathen horde before battle is joined.
Unbeknownst to either Ulfcytel or Alaric, their absent King Ethelred has plans of his own, plans that will leave them at risk of not only their foreign enemies but the blades of traitors from within their own ranks.
Before all is lost, the two heroes realise they must confront the corruption beating at the heart of England, and in doing so set the stage for the emergence of a new contender for the throne. A man known to history as Edmund. Edmund Ironside.
Caution: This book is set during a particularly traumatic episode in English history that involved extreme military and societal upheaval. The story thus depicts repeated instances of physical conflict/violence, including some which are of a sexual nature. Reader discretion is advised.

Interracial families are more common than ever, yet their unique stories often remain untold. This transparent poetry collection offers a deeply personal glimpse into my journey—growing up in a predominantly single-race family, navigating the intricacies of interracial relationships, and raising biracial children. Through honest and unfiltered reflections, I delve into the joys, challenges, and struggles in building an interracial family, while also celebrating the love, cultural connection and sense of belonging that makes this journey meaningful.
What makes this audiobook truly special is the contribution of my daughter, Summer Renee Crowell, who courageously shares her perspective being a biracial child in a beautifully written chapter. There are a few collaborative poems woven throughout the collection adding even more depth and richness to this exploration of love and realities we experienced together.
Take a moment to step into our world. Listen, and discover our journey through diversity, resilience, and the beauty of growing together as one.

Night. The day has gone. Departed. And the dark embrace, the inky shadows of night descend. For many a time to unwind and slumber. For some a nagging doubt that all is not well. That some primeval and primordial happening may yet go bump in the night.
But for our poets the night is a time of wonder and imagination as well as many other emotions and feelings. Among our ranks of gloried talents are Keats, Coleridge, William Morris, DH Lawrence, Whitman, Longfellow and many more besides. Their descriptions capture what they see and feel as perhaps only a poet can.
Among our ranks of gloried talents are Thomas Hood, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Robert Louis Stevenson, John Clare, Herman Melville and many more besides. Their descriptions capture what they see and feel as perhaps only a poet can.

Chaos in paradise is a collection of fifty poems that dive deep into the duality of my mind as a person. Even though a healthy garden exists in my heart, inescapable darkness looms over it. Within this collection, I battle with self-identity, love, depression, a desire to escape from the confines of normal society, loss, and the contradictory nature that is me. I wrote this book to free my mind from every insane thought that lives within me and capture it on paper so that it liberates you from the chaos that may reside in yours. I believe everyone is fighting a mental battle under every smile they wear. There might be days when you want to give in to the darkness inside of you, do it. Drown in those thoughts until you embrace, accept, and come to peace with them because the dawn is on its way. And at the end of every moonlit path is a horizon where paradise exists. It might be closer than you think. Have you looked in the mirror lately?

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
The Earth-Child in the Grass and Other Poems presents twenty of Katherine Mansfield’s most luminous and intimate poems in a carefully crafted audio edition that honors both their lyric delicacy and emotional depth. Written with Mansfield’s characteristic sensitivity to childhood, memory, solitude, and fleeting moments of perception, these poems reveal a lesser-known but deeply resonant side of one of modernism’s most beloved writers.
This collection includes A Little Girl’s Prayer, The Lonesome Child, Very Early Spring, When I Was a Bird, The Quarrel, The Earth-Child in the Grass, and fourteen other poems that trace the inner landscapes of innocence, longing, and quiet wonder. Mansfield’s poetic voice—simple on the surface, profound beneath—comes alive through attentive narration and thoughtful interpretation.
Each poem is accompanied by an original spoken analysis, offering insight into Mansfield’s imagery, themes, and emotional nuance, while preserving the subtlety of her art. The poems are narrated by AI Voice Willow, whose clear, gentle delivery reflects the intimacy and restraint of Mansfield’s verse. The project is directed by A. M. Bly, who also composed and performed the original piano underscore for each poem. The music does not intrude but moves alongside the poetry, enhancing mood and atmosphere with restraint and grace.
Designed for listeners who cherish literary depth and reflective listening, this audiobook offers a contemplative experience in which poetry, analysis, and music are woven into a unified whole—an invitation to listen closely, linger, and rediscover the quiet power of Katherine Mansfield’s poetry.
