For his exceptional work Smith was awarded with Pulitzer Prize for History.Aseveryone understands, the conflict with Mexico has been almost entirely eclipsed by the greater wars following it. But in the field of thought mere size does not count for much; and while the number of troops and the lists of casualties give the present subject little comparative importance, it has ample grounds for claiming attention. In 1989, the Little Rascals Day Care in Edenton, North Carolina, was suddenly thrust into the national spotlight. One day, the owner's husband disciplined a boy at naptime, and soon an angry mother suggested that it was more than just a slap. Rumors quickly morphed into charges of unimaginable crimes against dozens of little children. Panic consumed the town, as the police, therapists, and parents relentlessly pressured the children who attended the day care to name their teachers responsible for multiple allegations of abuse. The Edenton Seven were caught up in the accusations, including nineteen-year-old teacher Robin Boles Byrum. She spent nearly a year in jail under an enormous bond meant to pressure her to "tell the truth" while she had a new baby at home. Eerily reminiscent of the hysteria that gripped Salem, Massachusetts, during the witch trials of the seventeenth century, the Little Rascals case ultimately became the longest and most expensive criminal trial in North Carolina history.
Three decades later, Betsy Hester met Robin Byrum Couto and together, they joined forces to tell the truth. In this book, Betsy shares insights from legal and medical experts and reveals the facts from twenty-one boxes and dozens of bound testimonies from the courtroom long since buried away. Intertwined with the case history is Robin's never-before-told story of her harrowing journey through the court system. Finally, this book serves as a modern-day warning about the danger of mass hysteria and the consequences of a judicial system that blindly refused to hear and seek the truth.

One general tied to the Seleucid Empire was Artaxias, who founded the Artaxiad dynasty and managed to unite various Armenian regions under his rule and establish a strong central government, which enabled him to wage successful military campaigns against neighbouring powers. Artaxias I the Pious also built the capital city of Artaxata, which became a cultural and economic centre for the Armenian people. The succeeding kings of the Artaxiad dynasty continued to expand the territory of Greater Armenia, which at its height, stretched from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea and from the Caucasus Mountains to the Mediterranean Sea.
During the reign of the Artaxiad dynasty, Armenia became a hub of trade and commerce, connecting the Silk Road and the Mediterranean world. The Armenian kings encouraged the development of agriculture, commerce, and arts, and the kingdom became renowned for its skilled artisans, writers, and philosophers. Of course, given its central location, the dynasty also faced numerous challenges, including repeated invasions by the Roman and Parthian empires, internal conflicts, and economic hardships. The dynasty’s resilience and adaptability enabled it to survive for nearly two centuries, leaving behind a rich cultural and political legacy that has endured in the region, even as its historical memory was overshadowed by its more powerful neighbors.
Today, the Artaxiad dynasty remains an integral part of the Armenian identity, and its influence can be found in Armenian art, literature, music, and architecture. Perhaps just as importantly, the dynasty continues to inspire Armenian patriotism to this day. Many literary works have been written about the kings of the Artaxiad dynasty, including novels, plays, and poems, and many operas have been written about the most powerful king of the dynasty, Tigran II the Great (Tigranes II), including one written by the famed composer Antonia Vivaldi, Tigrane.

Brought to you by Altrusian Grace Media and narrated by Matthew Schmitz. The Initiates of the Flame is a book written by Manly P. Hall, which delves into the mysteries of the ancient Egyptian and Greek cultures. The book explores the symbolism and allegories of these cultures, and how they relate to the spiritual development of the individual. The author also discusses the concept of the ""Flame"" and how it is a symbol of the divine spark within every human being. The book is divided into three parts, with each part focusing on a different aspect of the teachings of the ancient cultures. Part one explores the symbolism of the Egyptian culture, while part two delves into the mysteries of the Greek culture. Part three discusses the practical application of the teachings in everyday life. The Initiates of the Flame is a comprehensive guide for those seeking to understand the spiritual teachings of the ancient cultures and how they can be applied to modern life.1922. Hall, the American philosopher, in over a period of 20 years of dynamic public activity, has steadfastly sought recognition of the belief that world civilization can only be perfected when human beings meet on a common ground of intelligence, cooperation and worthy purpose. The Initiates of the Flame is a reverent and inspired tribute to the ancient wisdom teachings. Though mystical in spirit, this work explains many keys to esoteric philosophy.
