Sinopsis

Jenny is the US’s youngest senator. Disillusioned by a contentious Congress, she takes a break from Washington and travels to Tikal, an ancient Mayan city that is designed in the image of the Star constellation Pleiades.

At the urging of a shaman, she spends two terrifying nights alone, deep in the jaguar-infested jungle.

On the first night, perched high atop a two-thousand-year-old pyramid, she hears a voice – otherworldly, haunting – that takes her on a journey through the mysteries of human history. Could it truly be a voice from the Pleiades, as Mayan legend foretells?

On the second night, the shaman guides her to the “Monster’s Mouth,” a dark, foreboding passageway that is said to be a portal to higher consciousness.  Once inside, the voice returns, delivering a message that offers to reverse the self-destructive course of modern civilization.

This riveting novel by New York Times bestselling author John Perkins weaves ideas from his Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, Shapeshifting, and nine other nonfiction books into a heart-pounding adventure story that challenges readers to rethink humanity’s relationship to the universe and the future.

Hank Morgan, a 19th-century American engineer, is transported back to medieval England after a blow to the head. Using his modern knowledge, he introduces industrial and social reforms, challenging the feudal system and superstitions of the time. Armed with wit and ingenuity, Hank rises to power, becoming a rival to Merlin and earning the title “The Boss.” Twain’s satirical tale critiques monarchy, religion, and human folly, blending humor with sharp social commentary. As Hank’s innovations clash with Arthurian traditions, the story explores themes of progress, freedom, and the complexities of imposing change on an unprepared society.

With the National Guard, private industry, and even a seemingly tranquil farming village caught in an explosive political crossroads all relying on NESS for missions of security, Neustatter and Astrid find themselves pressed to staff, train, and equip the agency while keeping up with their clients' growing requirements in scope and complexity.

A simple railway escort mission involves a secretive manufacturing client from Grantville bearing mysterious cargo and a captured fugitive all destined for Magdeburg during the Baltic War . . . what could possibly go wrong?

The Bible Society hires NESS to guard a flock of Anabaptist, Catholic, and Lutheran high schoolers en route to riot-torn Erfurt and Jena, but will NESS's own pastor tear them apart first?

Already strapped for personnel, the last thing Neustatter needs is for a regiment of dragoon militia to choose their wagon train for . . . "involuntary provisioning." Can a handful of badly outnumbered agents protect a village that isn’t sure it wants their help?
