Sinopse

When the young and naive D'Artagnan sets out on his quest to become a King's musketeer, he immediately encounters the dangerous femme fatale, Milady de Winter. After discovering that the musketeers have been disbanded, he makes it his mission to get them reinstated. But will his feud with Milady thwart him? And who the heck is she?
This riotous adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' classic novel by John Nicholson (Hound of the Baskervilles, Peepolykus was originally performed by physical-comedy theatre company Le Navet Bete on a UK tour in 2019, with four actors playing over thirty characters. It was co-produced by Le Navet Bete and Exeter Northcott Theatre.
The Three Musketeers will suit any theatre company or drama group looking for a funny, high-energy adaptation of a universally loved story, which is suitable for audiences of all ages. Swashbuckling and rollicking adventure guaranteed – convincing French accents, not so much.

Nikolai convinces the miners to become communists and go on strike. He approaches Marx and Engels in hopes that they will back their cause, and provide a way to advertise their strike across the country. Marx and Engels agree to put Nikolai in contact with an underhanded journalist named Solomon Credge.
In Russia, Vladimir Ulyanov hides his brother Aleksandr Ulyanov from the Russian police hunting him for the attempted assassination of the Tsar. Aleksandr is outraged at a local paper filled with slander about the Ulyanov family, including a rumour that Aleksandr's true father was the failed assassin Dmitri Karakazov, whom also attempted to murder the Tsar twenty years before his execution for treason. Aleksandr tells Vladimir he has read ‘ The Communist Manifesto’ sent to him by Nikolai and has fallen in love with the philosophy. He pleads with Vladimir to read the book for all that Aleksandr believes in is between its pages.

Robert G. Ingersoll

A controversial lecturer, brilliant lawyer, and arguably the most famous orator of the mid to late 1800's, Ingersoll railed against the absurdities of the Bible and cruelties of Christianity, particularly the horrific notion of "eternal damnation". He tirelessly supported the arts, education, science, women’s rights, abolition, home, family, children, and human liberty. As a leader of the Freethought movement, his creed was: “Happiness is the only good, Reason the only torch, Justice the only worship, Humanity the only religion, and Love the only priest.” He was often attacked in the press.
