Summary

The English Poet Laureate from 1930 until 1967, John Masefield produced a wide range of literary masterpieces, encompassing ballads, nature poetry, adventure novels, social dramas and mythological children’s works. His long narrative poems, including the much-celebrated ‘The Everlasting Mercy’ (1911), shocked the literary orthodoxy of the time with its colloquial expressions and coarseness of themes. Masefield is revered for his endeavour to make poetry a popular art and for his influence on the Georgian movement, advocating respect for formalism, as well as bucolic and romantic subject matter. The Delphi Poets Series offers readers the works of literature’s finest poets, with superior formatting. This volume presents Masefield’s collected works, with related illustrations and the usual Delphi bonus material. (Version 1)

Maya Bernstein's debut volume presents poems rigorously composed and delicately honed. It reveals the sensitive spirit and sharp mind of a mature speaker exploring the gaping space between the infinitude of the divine and the finite nature of human existence.
Authentic and honest, spanning the secular and the sacred, these poems challenge and speak truth to our fears and joys, navigating the complex intimacy and distance we experience as humans striving to connect to ourselves, one another, and to the forces that act upon us in the world.

The fifth and final volume of poetry by the author of Wild Cat Falling was originally published in India in 2013. There are 45 poems from the Master of the Ghost Dreaming, as he reels and sways through his long held interest in Buddhism and the Blues. While still writing about rejuvenation and the great cycles of Life, there is a strong awareness of finality, of passing on, of Death. Always lyrical, this is a wonderful offering from the award-winning poet.

Hating To Love My Life - The...

    Courtlin D. Fields

The first of five planned volumes of poetry, The Chapbook 1 speaks of suicide, love, breakups, the loss of a child, and the loss of a parent. However, Courtlin found a way to turn these darkest memories and feelings into something positive.
As a man, it is hard to express your feelings. Then, to be a Black man adds another layer. To be a light-skinned Black man, there is trouble in those waters too.
This is not a book to tell you how to live your life. This is not a book to tell you how to make millions. This is a book of poetry to let you know that you are not alone. Every expressed emotion is real. Every poem means something personal. Hopefully, sharing my poems with you will inspire some degree in knowing no matter your skin color.
