Sinossi

Most organizations face challenges in defining and achieving evolved enterprise architecture practices, which can be a very lengthy process even if implemented correctly. Developers, for example, can build better solutions only if they receive the necessary design information from architects, and decision-makers can make appropriate changes within the organization only if they know the implications of doing so.
The book starts by addressing the problems faced by enterprise architecture practitioners and provides solutions based on an agile approach to enterprise architecture, using ArchiMate® 3.1 as an industry standard and Sparx EA as the modeling tool. You'll learn with the help of a fictional organization that has three business units, each expecting something different from you as the enterprise architect. You'll build the practice, satisfy the different requirements of each business unit, and share the knowledge with others so they can follow your steps. Toward the end, you'll learn how to put the diagrams and the content that you have developed into documents, presentations, and web pages that can be published and shared with any stakeholder.
By the end of this book, you'll be able to build a functional enterprise architecture practice that supports every part of your organization. You'll also have developed the necessary skills to populate your enterprise architecture repository with references and artifacts.

"This Poem 'In Days Gone By - Newbury'. Part 3 of the series Nature: Natural Healing.A time when most of the UK Countryside was criss-crossed by small roads and slow moving cars. And the pace was slower and more durable for nature.A delicate balance had been formed between the new motor car and the hedgerows and byways that struck a chord of harmony between each other. Broken now, with too many Motorways and not enough cycle lanes - leaving nature, floundering.I the Author have been writing Poetry for around 20 years. Most of it has been published on Amazon. I write on varied topics which resonate with what I'm thinking or studying at that time.Credit for the artwork on this piece, goes to Mike Miko for his interpretation of this poem into pictorial Art form." His skill in depicting the scenes of the Newbury bypass running through the heart of a forest, with a ghostly image of Swampies son, was truly remarkable.

Cardiology is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart-related conditions. As one of the most vital specialties in modern medicine, it plays a crucial role in improving life expectancy and quality of life for patients with heart diseases. The heart is responsible for pumping blood throughout the body, delivering oxygen and nutrients essential for survival. Therefore, any disruption in its function can have far-reaching consequences for an individual's health.
The field of cardiology has a rich history, evolving significantly over the centuries. Early understanding of the heart was rudimentary, with ancient civilizations attributing its function to the soul or emotions. It was not until the 17th century, with the groundbreaking work of William Harvey, that the concept of blood circulation was fully understood. Over time, advancements in medical technology and scientific knowledge have led to a more detailed understanding of the heart's anatomy, function, and the diseases that affect it.
Today, cardiology is a highly specialized field that requires expertise in various sub-disciplines, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure management, and pediatric cardiology. The role of a cardiologist extends beyond diagnosis and treatment to include preventative care, patient education, and collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. Cardiologists use a combination of clinical evaluations, diagnostic tests, and imaging techniques to identify and treat heart diseases such as coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and valvular heart diseases.

Elephants today live on only 15% of the land they once roamed. With each passing day, another acre of nature is destroyed by human beings, replaced by agriculture, settlement and other man-made business. With each passing day, Asia’s remaining wild elephants are squeezed onto smaller pieces of land onto which they’re expected to survive. Wildlife photographer Larry Laverty has followed the plight of the elephants for several decades, capturing the magnificence of this animal on film, while at the same time raising awareness all over the world of the danger of extinction that elephants face. For this book, Larry spent months travelling across Asia following elephants and recording extraordinary moments on his camera. The result is an amazing book of some 180 photographs, presented in landscape format, of one of Earth’s greatest creatures. It’s through his work and books that Larry hopes to give the elephants of Asia the respect they deserve… ”We are finally acknowledging a force of nature that’s been with us all along. Elephants are magnetic. But until now, we humans haven’t had the ability to see, to appreciate this fact.”

Toxicology is the scientific study of the adverse effects of chemical substances on living organisms. It encompasses a broad range of disciplines, including biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and environmental science, and is essential for understanding the impact of toxins on human health and the environment. The origins of toxicology can be traced back to ancient civilizations, where herbal remedies and poisons were used in medicine and warfare. Over the centuries, this field has evolved significantly, particularly with advancements in analytical techniques and a greater understanding of biological systems.

The fundamental principle of toxicology is that the effect of a substance depends not only on its inherent toxicity but also on the dose, duration of exposure, and the route by which it enters the body. This is often summarized by the phrase "the dose makes the poison," attributed to the Swiss physician Paracelsus in the 16th century. Paracelsus emphasized that even substances considered beneficial can be harmful in excessive amounts, highlighting the importance of understanding dosage in toxicological assessments.
