Sinopse

In a kingdom ruled by a ruthless monarch, two brothers are torn apart by royal decree—one forced into military service, the other left behind to nurture a growing rebellion.

Kain Villairo, son of a legendary rebel, is conscripted into the Royal Army of Nymea as a child. Under the tutelage of the fearsome Royal Hand, Sir Drake, he transforms from a reluctant recruit into the kingdom's deadliest warrior. Rising through the ranks to become a general, Kain serves the very crown that executed his father, his loyalty to King Alastor seemingly unshakable.

Meanwhile, his twin brother Bruce remains in their village, eventually continuing their father's legacy by igniting a rebellion against the crown. As famine spreads through the kingdom and tensions rise, the two brothers find themselves on opposite sides of a brewing civil war.

When a devastating betrayal forces Kain to question everything he's fought for, he must confront the brutal truth of what he's become. Trapped between duty, family, and vengeance, Kain faces an impossible choice that will determine not only his fate but the future of the entire kingdom.

"The Grey Lion" is a gripping tale of brotherhood, betrayal, and redemption, exploring how power corrupts and how the monsters we fight can sometimes become the monsters we are. Epic in scope yet intimately personal, this novel delves into the devastating costs of war and the blurred lines between hero and villain.

If you enjoyed "The First Law" trilogy, "The Broken Empire" series, and "The Poppy War," you'll love "The Grey Lion."

They escaped once. But the New World Order never stops hunting.
After uncovering Project 157’s terrifying secrets, Navy SEAL Jacob Carter and Sage Emmerson are fugitives on every government watchlist. The N.W.O. will use any weapon—digital, biological, or spiritual—to erase them.
To survive, Jacob must rely on what he learned in the spirit realm — truths that defy logic, faith that bends reality, and power that no enemy can counterfeit. But when the K-60 program forces Sage dangerously close to a jump between worlds, Jacob realizes this time he might lose more than the fight—he might lose her.
Across three dimensions, Jacob and Sage race to stop a plan that could collapse the barrier between dark and light forever. As ancient prophecies ignite and Project 157’s real purpose is revealed, Jacob finds himself thrust into the center of the coming tribulation — where his obedience could mean salvation for millions… or his own destruction.
Can he protect Sage, stand against the darkness, and embrace the calling that demands everything?

A comprehensive book explaining "applied RPGs"—using role-playing games therapeutically.

Across the globe, therapists are using tabletop roleplaying games (RPG) such as Dungeons & Dragons as a part of their practice. This book provides an overview of what RPGs are and what makes them such an effective and powerful tool for therapy. By examining research on gaming, flow, immersion, and role-play, listeners will gain a better understanding of the theoretical underpinnings and how to skillfully and ethically use RPGs in their own practices. The author also looks at the history of RPGs, specifically focusing on issues of diversity and representation to help providers understand some possible pitfalls that exist within the medium. The book utilizes an example group to walk through everything from conception, planning, running, documentation, and termination of the group.
