Sinopse

Lame, with harsh features, brooding eyes, a wiry beard crackling with flame, and ropy muscles, the god mortals call Hephaestus is nobody's idea of perfection. Indeed, far from it. A lingering odor of burnt solder clings to him, adding to his manly stench of sweat and musk. His bed is narrow and lonely, his sheets filled with soot and regret.

Blacksmith to Olympus, he hides from his kin on an island in the Mediterranean, commissioned to forge a hero's sword from unbreakable metal. But a brief tryst with a minor water god distracts him. Aean is everything Hephaestus is not -- young, beautiful, sexy. He stirs in Hephaestus a savage lust the smith has never felt before.

Now Hephaestus wants Aean for his own, and he won't rest until the water god is his.

It's summer vacation. Lanta Cross is sixteen and at odds with Bernadette, her adoptive mother. She'll do anything to get away from home and out from under Bernadette's considerable thumb.
Already working one part-time job at a local café, Lanta takes another at Saint Catherine's Elder Care Facility. At first it appears her duties are something she can do blindfolded -- wheeling residents to and from activities, cleaning up their messes, and mainly staying out of the way of the LVNs and the administrator, Ms. Andrews. During her first week at the home, Lanta meets and befriends an elderly lesbian resident, Gertrude Weiss. They bond quickly.
Yet not everything is what it seems at St. Catherine's.
When Gertrude's journal full of her thoughts about her late partner goes missing, the abuse begins. Gertrude's meals are late and cold. Her seemingly friendly roommate asks for a transfer to another room. As the harassment escalates, Gertrude's physical and emotional health deteriorates.
Lanta and her mother must pool their resources and work as a team to save Gertrude's life before it's too late. Will they be in time?

2025 Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards finalist

The day she loses her job and her apartment, a third surprise awaits Celeste Dorin: her great-aunt left her a hotel in a tiny town in the mountains. Is the universe nudging her—not very subtly—in a new direction? For the first time in years, Celeste ignores her anxiety and rushes to the French Alps. To Montlouis, where she has refused to go back since she was a child.

Rose Beauvoir has two passions: chocolate and the stars. Or three, if you count Montlouis. The arrival of the clumsy Parisian disrupts her well-oiled routines, and she'd lie if she said she doesn't enjoy the blast of fresh air.

As Celeste learns about life at high altitude and Rose shares her love for her hometown and its surroundings, the two women can't deny the attraction blooming between them. The shift from Celeste's boring yet comfortable life as a paralegal in the city to that of a hotelier in the mountains isn't for the faint of heart, however. Will the beautiful scenery, the welcoming townies, and the deceptively reserved chocolatier convince her to stay?

Oliver Stoll's life has gone up in smoke. Literally. Escaping an apartment fire, he's made it out with little more than the clothes on his back and his best friend and downstairs neighbor, Mia. With few other options, he agrees to stay with David Elliston, Mia's older brother. David was Oliver's first crush, first kiss, first everything. That is, until the day they broke up five years before. It hadn't been pretty.
David Elliston is back in town. Offered the chance to oversee the Kellmen Group's newest magazine acquisition, he isn't going to let a years old heartbreak stop him. But being thrown together with Oliver is harder than expected. And the flicker of hope he's long tried to bury becomes even more difficult to contain.
Ex-lovers, best friends, and angry parents don't make the best backdrop for rekindling a romance. But it's the lies from the past that might just extinguish any chance they have of starting over.

One night with Reeve Hale wasn't enough. I knew it when I kissed him, I knew it when I slept with him, and I was certain of it when I walked out of his motel room the very next day.

So when the shy, gorgeous man is introduced as our newest employee at Vino and Veritas, I can't help but conjure up all the ridiculous ways to convince him to repeat that unforgettable night. Like asking him to be my fake boyfriend at my sister's upcoming wedding.

Only, I didn't expect him to say yes.

Playing pretend shouldn't feel this real. Especially when Reeve is planning on leaving Vermont after the summer.

We agreed to one night. We negotiated a fake relationship. But I'm the one who broke our terms. I wasn't supposed to fall in love and he was never supposed to be so unforgettable.
