Sinopsis

When rancher, bully and wife-beater Clayton T. Pallister is murdered, the tragedy has its compensations. For his wife, Rosie, the harsh years are over, the Rolling P ranch is hers and her young son Warren looks forward to a life away from his powerful father's stifling rules. Then, only days after the funeral, a young woman rides across the Bravo from Mexico and everything is thrown into disarray. Not only is doubt cast on the legality of Rosie's inheritance but the young woman has brought in her wake two ruffians who are clearly up to no good. They are soon followed by a Mexican landowner who is keen to get a foothold on the rich soil of southern Texas. So, as Clayton T. Pallister's mysterious past is resurrected and the fight for the Rolling P becomes ever more complicated and violent, Warren realizes that he has a fight on his hands that can only be settled when all factions come together in a blaze of gunfire.

When D.H. Lawrence's "Lady Chatterley's Lover" first appeared in print in the late 1920's, it was an immediate sensation. A vivid - often graphic - exploration of infidelity, sexual awakening, intimacy and free thinking, "Chatterley" was banned in Britain, America and dozens of other countries for its frank depiction of the sexual act, explicit descriptions of physical love and the liberal use of once-prohibited four-letter words. It was not until 1960 that Penguin Books, in a watershed obscenity trial victory, was finally able to publish the book in England and the novel soon sold an astonishing three million copies and became a celebrated literary landmark. "Lady Chatterley's Lover" follows the marriage of Constance Reid to Sir Clifford Chatterley, a wealthy landlord who was paralyzed fighting in World War I. As Sir Clifford is unable to have a physical relationship with his wife, Connie seeks the comfort of lovers, finally finding true fulfillment in the bed of the estate's groundskeeper, Oliver Mellors. As Lady Chatterley and Mellors relationship grows and class differences threaten their alliance, Connie comes to realize that true love and affection between a man and woman must come from both a mental and physical connection.

Tik-Tok of Oz is the eighth book in the Oz series written by L. Frank Baum, published on June 19, 1914. The book has little to do with Tik-Tok and is primarily the quest of the Shaggy Man (introduced in The Road to Oz) to rescue his brother, and his resulting conflict with the Nome King. The book was based on Baum's play The Tik-Tok Man of Oz, which was produced in Los Angeles in spring 1913.
Queen Ann Soforth of Oogaboo, a small monarchy separated from the rest of Oz's Winkie Country, sets out to raise an army to conquer Oz.
Betsy Bobbin, a girl who is a year older than Dorothy Gale, and her loyal mule Hank have washed ashore during a storm. They arrive at a large greenhouse that is the domain of the Rose Kingdom, where the roses tell them that no strangers are allowed. Just as the Royal Gardener is about to pass sentence on Betsy and Hank, the Shaggy Man falls through the greenhouse's roof, and charms the Gardener into sparing all of their lives with his Love Magnet. The travelers leave, taking with them the newly plucked Rose Princess Ozga, a cousin of Ozma, the ruler of Oz.

Amber Jones is back home...temporarily. In 6 months, she plans to drive away from the town that still holds painful memories and back to her big city life. But a newcomer with a voice like the darkest roast and an ever-present smile unexpectedly makes returning to the hustle and bustle of the city, and the boyfriend she shares it with, seem much less appealing.
Benjamin Murphy moved to Millensville for his ex-wife, but even after their very public split, he remained in the town that embraced him and his now teenaged daughter as one of their own. When a gorgeous woman from the city walks into his quaint coffee shop, not even her dour expression is enough to keep him from trying to catch one more glimpse of her smile.
These two seem like total opposites, but when the old adage of opposites attracting seems to hold true, will Amber and Benjamin be able to bridge the gaps between them and find love, or will their common ground crumble beneath the weight of their differences?
