Sinopsis

When rancher, bully and wife-beater Clayton T. Pallister is murdered, the tragedy has its compensations. For his wife, Rosie, the harsh years are over, the Rolling P ranch is hers and her young son Warren looks forward to a life away from his powerful father's stifling rules. Then, only days after the funeral, a young woman rides across the Bravo from Mexico and everything is thrown into disarray. Not only is doubt cast on the legality of Rosie's inheritance but the young woman has brought in her wake two ruffians who are clearly up to no good. They are soon followed by a Mexican landowner who is keen to get a foothold on the rich soil of southern Texas. So, as Clayton T. Pallister's mysterious past is resurrected and the fight for the Rolling P becomes ever more complicated and violent, Warren realizes that he has a fight on his hands that can only be settled when all factions come together in a blaze of gunfire.

"In the silent depths of Diablo Lake, where shadows dance upon the water's edge, secrets linger like whispers in the night. Five years have passed since the world was torn asunder, yet the scars of our past haunt us still, etched into the very fabric of our souls.

I watch from the shadows as life unfolds around me, a silent guardian amidst the chaos. Clarisse tends to the wounded with a quiet determination, her eyes betraying the weight of our shared burden. Bang and Addy, their love a beacon of hope in the darkness, prepare for the arrival of their first child, unaware of the storm that looms on the horizon. And Tehya, consumed by a rage she cannot tame, teeters on the brink of oblivion.

But it's the arrival of Meg that sets my senses ablaze, her presence a harbinger of danger in our fragile sanctuary. With eyes that hold secrets untold and a past shrouded in mystery, she brings with her a darkness that threatens to engulf us all.

As the days pass, the specter of the terrorists looms ever larger, their presence a malevolent force that refuses to be ignored. And when Meg's true intentions are revealed, we're thrust into a deadly game of deception and betrayal, where trust is a luxury we cannot afford.

Yet amidst the shadows, there is still light. Light in the bonds that bind us together, in the flicker of hope that refuses to be extinguished. As explosions echo in the distance and lives hang in the balance, I know that we must stand united against the encroaching darkness.

In "The Tender Harvest," the next chapter of our journey unfolds, and I stand ready to confront whatever lies ahead. For in this world of uncertainty and shadows, one thing remains certain: the strength of the human spirit, and the resilience of the heart, will see us through." - Graham Morgan

A shocking confession. A prolific killer. A legal minefield.

Marko Bauer and Allee Smith thought defending James Innis on a simple charge would be straightforward. But when he confesses to a murder, it’s clear that this case will be anything but easy. Bound by the law, they can't expose him, even when he leads them to the body. Desperate to escape the ethical trap they've fallen into, Marko and Allee search for a loophole to report him, weighing the options of dropping the case or outright defying the rules. But every move they make seems to pull them deeper into his sinister game, and Innis’s chilling arrogance shows them just how dangerous he truly is.

When another victim mysteriously disappears, their ethical dilemma escalates. With each disturbing clue, the full scope of Innis’s plans becomes clear: he’s orchestrating Marko and Allee’s every move, and no one in their lives is safe.

Upholding their professional ethics may come at a price too steep to pay, as the cost begins to threaten not only their careers but the lives of those they love.

Will they break the law to stop a murderer… or risk becoming his next victims?
