Sinopse

A passionate animal lover, Jérôme Pensu denounces the trafficking of wild animals in France, which is worth hundreds of millions of euros every year; he explains the mechanisms at play, the scale of the problem and the techniques used by criminals to make their business prosper; he points out, with specific cases to back it up, the incredible impunity enjoyed by fraudsters; and he lists a series of proposals to put an end, at last, to this scandal that endangers biodiversity - in other words, us.
Sauvage! tells of pink flamingos atrophied to enrich zoos, macaques sent to their deaths in the name of environmental preservation, reptiles tortured for the needs of unscrupulous pet shops. He also talks about massive laundering, unashamed regularization and euthanasia of felines... All wild animals are concerned. He also talks about concrete, precise, immediate solutions that could put a stop to this massacre. 
Because wildlife trafficking in France is not inevitable. It's up to each and every citizen to take part in the public debate to put an end to this scandal, which is almost as profitable as dealing hard drugs, and even more harmful in the long term for our planet and the human species. This book is also here to explain that anything is still possible, if citizens, families and children become aware of the uncontrolled traffic.
