Praise for Star Trek Cats“Is it too early to state that this book is possibly the quintessential Christmas stocking filler for the lover of Star Trek AND cats in your family?” —Starburst “Featuring big, bold artistic interpretations of many a famous Star Trek scene, except with, well, uh, cats, the book is rewarding for both an episode-quoting Trekkie and your favorite crazy cat lover. And if you happen to be both of those things, it's most certainly an item you will want to add to your collection.” —TrekCore “Jenny Parks is a great illustrator. The way she has captured the characters and a variety of our favorite aliens while making them inhabit very feline traits is superb and delivers a many good laughs. For most police officers, dealing with ‘crackpots’ is simply part of the job. The people who call up confessing to murders they couldn’t have committed or which might never even have happened, the obsessives with nothing better to do than report non existent crimes or exaggerate run of the mill occurences into major events. As far as Tony is concerned Clark Dornan is one of these ‘crackpots’.For years Clark has been coming to the station with accusations against his neighbour, insisting that there is something horrible going on in the house across the road. When Clark eventually decides to investigate for himself and is reported missing a week later, Tony is forced to finally investigate Clark’s outlandish claims, though once he arrives he realises that perhaps those claims were not outlandish enough.‘Behind Closed Doors’ is a tale of investigation and terror, showing that sometimes when following the breadcrumb trail, there is something far worse than a house of gingerbread waiting at the end.

The Devoted Friend by Oscar Wilde was first published in 1888 in the anthology The Happy Prince and Other Tales.
Hans was a little man who owned a beautiful garden, where he grew flowers of all kinds and colours which were sold in the market to make some money. He enjoyed the company of another man called Hugh, a
miller who used to visit Hans very often during the summer time and with whom he shared thoughts about friendship and loyalty.
However, when winter came, Hans found himself in a very difficult situation, as his flowers wouldn't flourish anymore until the following spring, meaning that he was impoverished, living on a simple diet of a
    few pears or hard nuts.
Meanwhile, the miller lived comfortably in his own house, and avoided visiting his friend or helping him in any way not to make him jealous and spoil, if not break, their friendship.
After winter, when Hans' flowers are blooming, Hugh visits Hans with a basket to get flowers. Upon hearing Hans' story, Hugh promises to give Hans his wheelbarrow, which is falling apart and not even usable. In return for this 'gift,' Hugh guilts Hans into working for him day in and day out, selling his flour, mending his roof, and even going to get the doctor for Hugh's sick son.
On the way back from this last errand, Hans gets lost and dies. Hugh gives himself a prominent place at Hans' funeral, promising never to give anything away again, since the wheelbarrow (which he never gave to Hans) was so much trouble.
