Sinopse

Gautier Delcreuze has been found dead, hanging from a tree. According to the police, it’s a simple suicide. For his brother David, however, that’s simply impossible. Shortly before dying, Gautier wrote a text explaining that he was in danger and that people were after him, accusing him of stealing money and possessing compromising documents. He had ended the one-pager with the words: “I am not suicidal.” The police investigation may be over, but David’s not ready to give up on his search for the truth. He’ll go all the way, regardless of the danger ...

Jean de Blonay has written a breathless thriller involving the Italian mafia and false leads, and containing a perfectly tied-up plot that keeps readers in suspense until the very last line.

Devastating secrets shroud the campus of Green Dell Academy, secrets that some think are worth killing for . . . From Lambda Literary Award finalist Alex Myers comes a provocative dark academia novel. There are rules and then there's reality . . .Autumn, 2015. Green Dell Academy is a prestigious co-ed prep school tucked away in a quiet corner of Connecticut. And although it has its first female head of school, it's still very much a boys' club―a club with longstanding "traditions" that involve gross misconduct―and now murder.A woman has been killed, right on campus, a woman who has been deeply involved in fighting sexual violence, a woman who had no shortage of enemies. The murder case, coupled with an investigation into allegations of sexual assault, threatens to bring dark, deep-rooted secrets to the surface, the kind of secrets that go back decades―and some people seem to value the old ways more than human life . . .For fans of Rebecca Makkai's I Have Some Questions For You and Ashley Winstead's In My Dreams I Hold a Knife. Written by the current teacher at an American school academy, Alex Myers brings to life a thought-provoking and deeply relevant story.

    "Do you remember Savannah?"

How could she forget? Two decades ago, Trinity Calhoun's best friend—eighteen-year-old Savannah Stuart—went missing. Just weeks later, Savannah's body was found brutally slain outside the mountain town. With no suspects or leads, the local authorities dismissed the murder as a tragic one-off, likely perpetrated by a tourist. But Trinity wasn't convinced.

Determined to do better for other victims, she left town and settled in Vancouver, rising through the ranks to become a detective. She's never looked back. But now, an unexpected phone call from her former lover has her barreling down the highway to face the past.

Another young woman has disappeared under eerily similar circumstances. Allegedly. But the local police are disinterested. Trinity's ex has a tenuous—at best—hold on his mental and physical health. And Savannah's secretive and handsome brother is in town, asking an awful lot of questions.

Trinity's focus is clouded. Maybe her judgment, too. As she wades through her past, she needs to answer a potentially life-threatening question: is there a dangerous, repeat criminal on the loose, or is she just desperate for closure?

    Contains mature themes.

But Nick is an eco-terrorist who is on the run from the FBI and his beautiful sister Grace, now a bestselling author, was Howie's first love when he was nineteen. Their father is US Senator Harlan Stanton and when murder intrudes at the family's secluded New Mexico ranch, Howie finds himself the prime suspect in a baffling series of deaths.

Fifty years ago, the property where the Stanton Ranch now stands was an Indian boarding school where a sensational murder occurred, and it looks as though the horror of this old crime has returned to haunt the present. With Howie in jail, it is up to Jack Wilder to clear his name and discover the real killer before violence strikes again. Hungry Ghost is a deadly family drama of passions, murder, money, and lies.
