Summary

"The School for Husbands" by Molière is a play that centers on the suitors of two sisters, each of whom is a ward of each of the two men. One suitor, Sganarelle, is controlling and overbearing of his intended wife Isabella. The other suitor, Sganarelle's older brother Ariste, treats his intended wife Léonor more as an equal. Ariste eventually finds success in his pursued relationship, while Sganarelle fails miserably, so much so, in fact, that he is unwittingly used by Isabella in seeking her preferred courter, Valère.

"The Ugandan Tales" is set in Uganda and about the struggles of ordinary Africans against post independence African rulers that preach freedom and emancipation but have turned into oppressors. This collection of poetry dives deep into topics of police brutality, social injustices, and oppression through the landscape of the tortured cities. Ordinary people seek to reassert their rights against an intransigent regime that is determined to keep them oppressed. The poems chronicle everyday struggles that are faced at the hands of fellow Africans masquerading as Pan Africanists. Through peaceful and non violent means, a new generation of people is now taking a stand against social, political and economic segregation.

Tessa is a young, brilliant barrister. She has worked her way up from working-class origins to the top of her game: defending, cross-examining and winning.
But an unexpected event forces her to confront the patriarchal power of the law, where the burden of proof and morality diverge.
Prima Facie by Suzie Miller is an award-winning play for a solo actor, taking us deep into a world where emotion and integrity are in conflict with the rules of the game.
After several acclaimed productions in Australia and winning the Australian Writers' Guild Award for Drama, the play received its European premiere at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London's West End in April 2022. It was produced by Empire Street Productions, directed by Justin Martin, and starred Jodie Comer, the Emmy and Bafta Award-winning star of TV's Killing Eve, making her West End debut.

It's 1972. An era of possibility and polyester and pubic hair.
Ziggy Stardust is on Top of the Pops, Penny is writing an essay on Lady Chatterley's Lover and Christine is watching Deepthroat. Brian is confused. Our parents are 20 and they're having sex.
The Wardrobe Ensemble's play 1972: The Future of Sex is a 90-minute romp through the ins and outs of those excellently awkward first sexual encounters. Devised by the company, the show uses The Wardrobe Ensemble's trademark inventive theatricality, irreverent humour and spectacular ensemble moments to tell the story of three couples having sex for the first time in 1972.
1972: The Future of Sex was first staged by The Wardrobe Ensemble at Latitude Festival and Shoreditch Town Hall in 2015, before playing the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
