Sinopsis

How far would you go to fix the mistakes you've made and regain the trust you lost? For Jade Jessup, the answer is 2,448 miles. Once one of Chicago's significant financial advisors, Jade lost her credibility when her fiancé (and coworker) stole millions of dollars from their clients in a Ponzi scheme. Now she's agreed to help one of them--an aging 1960s Hollywood starlet named Berenice "Benny" Alderidge--seek financial restoration.

Jade sets off along Route 66 with Benny and her handsome adult foster son, Bridger, who is filming a documentary retracing the 1956 trip that started the love story between Benny and her recently deceased husband, Paul. Listening to Benny recount her story draws Jade into memories of her own darker association with Route 66, when she was kidnapped as a child by a man the media labeled a monster--but she remembers only as daddy.

Together, all three of these pilgrims will learn about family, forgiveness, and what it means to live free of the past. But not before Jade faces a second staggering betrayal that changes everything.

What if everything we thought we knew about existence is just a glimpse of a much grander reality?
In this exploration, we challenge the boundaries of human understanding, bridging science, spirituality, and philosophy to offer a new, holistic perspective on the nature of existence. From the mysterious depths of quantum mechanics to the profound questions of consciousness, the book delves into the fundamental structures of reality, intertwining the human experience with cosmic evolution.
At the heart of this journey lies a central question: What is the true nature of consciousness, and how does it relate to the physical universe, the concept of God, and our collective destiny? This book offers insights into the multidimensional nature of existence, the hidden layers of the universe, and humanity’s eternal struggle to reconcile its physical limitations with its spiritual aspirations.
With thought-provoking analogies, cosmic thought experiments, and a dive into the void where reality fades into nothingness, this book invites readers to reconsider the ultimate truths of their existence. Whether grappling with the question of free will, the cosmic significance of love and fear, or the possibility of life beyond death, ‘A Unified Vision of Reality’ offers a powerful synthesis of ancient wisdom and modern science to illuminate the path of human and cosmic evolution.
This book is for those who dare to ask the biggest questions—and are ready to journey beyond the edges of ‘known’ reality.”

Churches and their leaders have innovation fever. Innovation seems exciting—a way to enliven tired institutions, embrace creativity, and be proactive—and is a superstar of the business world. But this focus on innovation may be caused by an obsession with contemporary relevance, creativity, and entrepreneurship that inflates the self, lacks theological depth, and promises burnout.

In this follow-up to Churches and the Crisis of Decline, leading practical theologian Andrew Root delves into the problems of innovation. He explores where innovation and entrepreneurship came from, shows how they break into church circles, and counters the "new imaginations" like neoliberalism and technology that hold the church captive to modernity. Root reveals the moral visions of the self that innovation and entrepreneurship deliver—they are dependent on workers (and consumers) being obsessed with their selves, which leads to significant faith-formation issues. This focus on innovation also causes us to think we need to be singularly unique instead of made alive in Christ. Root offers a return to mysticism and the poetry of Meister Eckhart as a healthier spiritual alternative.

The Book of Jubilees, sometimes called "Little Genesis", is an ancient Jewish book that retells many of the stories in Genesis and Exodus with some additional details. It has been known in the West only since the 1840s, when European travelers acquired manuscripts from monasteries in Ethiopia. Then, in 1949, a complete Hebrew manuscript was found amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls. It is considered canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and one of the pseudepigrapha by Protestant, Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox Churches. It was well known to Early Christians, as evidenced by the writings of Epiphanius, Justin Martyr, Origen and others.
The Book of Jubilees claims to have been revealed to Moses by angels while he was on Mount Sinai for forty days and forty nights. The chronology given in Jubilees is based on multiples of seven; the jubilees are periods of 49 years, into which all of time has been divided. Robert Henry Charles (1859-1933), the translator of this edition, was a greatly respected Irish theologian and scholar who translated a range of Old Testament apocrypha and pseudepigrapha. This audio book version of the Book of Jubilees is read by Christopher Glyn and completes his project to provide a uniform narration of the King James Bible, the Apocrypha, the books of Enoch, Jasher and Jubilees.

We can never overcome the consequences of our mistakes … or can we?

After almost three years, cop-turned-naturalist Clint Nolan is beginning to think of Starfish Bay in Northern California as home. The tiny town is a world away from the tragedy he left behind in the East, and his demons and self-recriminations are
subsiding. He might even consider a new romantic relationship if the right woman comes along.

But Kristen Fletcher isn’t that woman. New to town, the concierge at the upscale Inn at The Point reminds him too much of his former love. He can tolerate her as a tenant, but he intends to walk a wide circle around her personally.

Yet his plans change when Kristen’s world suddenly spins out of control and Clint finds himself being pulled into her life—and wondering if she might be the woman who was intended for him all along.

In this HOLT Medallion winner, Irene Hannon pens a hope-filled, uplifting tale about second chances, new beginnings—and the power of love to heal hurting hearts.

This audiobook includes an exclusive, crowdsourced Q&A with Phil!
Win the War for Your Own Integrity
After Phil Robertson quoted Scripture in an interview with a national magazine, his hit show, Duck Dynasty, put him on “indefinite hiatus.” Phil immediately knew what had happened: he had become a target of cancel culture.
Since that time, Phil has spoken out against public shaming, strategic campaigns to get Bible-believing employees fired, and other tactics that are wreaking havoc in our society. In a deeply divided country, with so many bent on condemning and silencing others, Phil calls for us to carry out the unifying message of Jesus Christ.
In Uncanceled, Phil shares his own experiences with cancel culture as heencourages us to turn to Scripture as we navigate politics, personal conversations, and new cultural norms;helps us see the psychological and political motivations behind silencing conservative voices;reminds us that the goal is not to convince others to like us but to win the war for our own integrity by refusing to bow down to the god of political correctness; andshows us how to trade retaliation for the love and forgiveness that God offers.

Uncanceled is a blueprint for standing up for the truth of Jesus Christ in a culture that has forgotten how to have respectful conversations. As Phil reminds us, when we embrace the truth that Jesus Christ already paid an enormous debt to cancel our sins, we find a path to redemption, a way to forgiveness, and a means for godly connection.
