  Originally from Kazakhstan, Karina Wiedman lived in Russia and Belarus before moving to the UK. The Anarchist is her first play.

She takes the reader through the front seat of her mind as she navigates the pressures of being the daughter of brown immigrants and how the clash of cultures pushed and pulled her in different directions. Discovering the trauma stored in her body, self-destruction from the inside led to the inevitable death of her false self. Learning to trust her intuition and the universe, getting lost and found in the world of magic and her prophetic dreams, ultimately guided her to the rebirth of an awakened identity. She went from not feeling worthy enough to live, to searching for her purpose, pulling herself out of the hole, finding her happiness, and never looking back. She learned to live her truth, love herself, and instinctively play with her fate.

Those sonorous and somber words of Edgar Allan Poe that begin The Raven are part of most everyone's fond educational memories. Beautiful and haunting to hear and even more fun to read aloud. In this recording I have just attempted to express my enjoyment of the beauty in some favorite Poe poems. Beside The Raven, there are Alone; A Dream Within A Dream; Annabel Lee; City In the Sea; The Bells; A Dream Within a Dream; Annabel Lee; Dreamland; Evening Star; Lenore; Eldorado; A Valentine and "The Happiest Day". Hopefully listeners will enjoy hearing them half as much as I enjoyed the selfish pleasure of recording them.

Barrie's perennial favourite, this enchanting new version by Evan Placey, with songs by Vikki Stone, premiered in 2023 at Rose Theatre, Kingston upon Thames, directed by Lucy Morrell. It was commissioned by the Rose to be performed by twenty members of the Rose Youth Theatre alongside four professional adult actors. It offers rich opportunities for other theatre companies who want to keep their audiences hooked with a magical, musical classic.
  50% of royalties from the sale of this book and amateur performance licences are donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.
