Summary

Being a vampire assassin is a deadly way to make a living, but when you're also considered the new master vampire of Orlando, things can get complicated. It's a dilemma that has become Paul Isaac's reality. A late night knock at the door forces Paul to make promises he knows he won't be able to keep. But when human lives of old friends hang in the balance of vampire politics and law, no choice is easy. After an attempt on his life by a couple of old adversaries, Paul learns no matter which side of the grave or which side of the law, nothing can be trusted. This game of death had become personal and only his spilt blood can stop it. Something is out there hunting him. Old. Powerful. Deadly. And killing it will only make matters worse.

A golem created to assassinate a criminal in 1856 is reawakened in the present … intent on targeting his victim’s innocent descendants. When treasure hunters excavate the long-lost wreck of the steamship Arcadia from a Kansas cornfield, a buried creature awakens – a mindless assassin of accursed earth, shaped like a man though in no way mortal, created to kill a slave trader in 1856. With the original target long dead, the monster sets its sight on the man’s closest surviving descendant . . . a burned-out IT technician named Ben Middleton. Nothing could have prepared Ben for the horror now aimed directly at his lackadaisical life. But he isn’t only being chased by the monster, and it’s not just his own life in danger.

A great love comes with bells…
Flip is an unemployed writer with a heart of gold and limited social skills — he’s also very much in love. And you? You’re invited to witness the carnage… .
It’s a story we’re all familiar with: just as the right girl finally comes along, Flip’s leg is broken, his roommate has gone nuts, and his father’s threatening to cut him off by cancelling his credit cards… . And then there’s that other small matter — he's still in love with Belle, the ghost he met when he was eight.
Thank God he’s well taken care of — how does anyone manage this kind of thing alone?
Daccia Bloomfield’s Dora Borealis is a not-quite-coming-of-age novel and a good old-fashioned love letter written in the era of the open relationship. Set against the backdrop of Toronto's insular art scene (itself haunted by the ghost of meaning), this story about connection (in a town hooked on missed connections) explores what it means to be truly haunted.

When Dani accepts a missing person's case, she expects the usual culprits—money, drugs, or a secret affair. Instead, she finds herself drawn deeper into Blackthorn city's shadowy underworld.

With the help of the Ink, ancient spirits who live in her skin as tattoos, Dani follows the investigation to the last place she wants to be: a nightclub owned by her ex-boyfriend. Their reunion is explosive, but it's the least of her concerns when bodies start piling up in the city morgue, each branded with the same demonic sigil.

As the evidence points to a rare demon, Dani realizes that she can't solve this case on her own. In order to find the missing girl and stop the necromancers before their demon grows too powerful, Dani must decide whom she trusts—the man who broke her heart or the naïve detective who wants to mend it.
