Foreword by Gwyneth PaltrowIntegrative medical practitioner to the stars and Goop contributor Vicky Vlachonis offers a groundbreaking program to eliminate pain and look and feel your best every day.In The Body Doesn’t Lie: The Three-Step Program to End Chronic Pain and Become Positively Radiant, Vicky Vlachonis focuses on pain release instead of on pain relief.  Back problems, nightly headaches, tight shoulders, achy feet-all of us have nagging, daily pains that seem to get worse when our lives get most busy. While the immediate reaction to pain is to take short-term measures to make it go away, this does nothing to address the underlying cause. Vlachonis shows us how to locate the source of our pain, understand its origin and manifestation in the body, and then let it go for good, using a holistic approach that includes easy-to-implement approaches to diet, exercise, and emotional well-being.Vlachonis’ proven and successful pain eradication program was developed over years working with a wide range of clients, from celebrities and CEOs to overworked ballerinas and working moms. The book includes a detailed meal plan with recipes, body maps to identify areas of pain and healing touch points, and step-by-step remedies for specific issues including fatigue, digestive problems, and depression. This groundbreaking approach uses pain as a tool—not the undefeatable enemy—to help you look and feel better immediately, and release your body from physical and emotional pain for good.

All suppositions presented in this lecture have brought us to a better understanding of contents of the unconscious sphere of human psyche. Even if we were to accept Jung's theory of "dividing human psyche," we think it would be one’s personal unconscious, which contains very definite individual structure or system meant to define his personal psychological and physiological characteristics because the unconscious sphere of psyche directly controls many physiological reactions. Personal unconscious should be able to tell everything of one's personality by examining it not through collective values, but in the light of its individual archetypes. It should be able to explain everything about a person with respect to his individual perception of the world and of himself, his purpose, his behavior both in social and natural environments, his strategies and tactics, his way of thinking, his unconscious motivations, his needs, emotions, inclinations, preferences, meaning of his existence, etc.
After reviewing both our practical and theoretical research, and focusing on Jung's theory as to the influence of the collective unconscious on individual human psyche, it would be essential to examine this issue from the standpoint of psychology of individual distinctions. It is obvious that without finding individual archetypal patterns as the basis for human personality, solving any individual or social-collective problems would not be possible since any society consists of individuals, who constantly affect one another.

“Sara Benincasa is one of the funniest writers I know—and I know a disturbing number of them. She is also one of the most honest.”—Sam Apple, author of American Parent and editor-in-chief of The Faster Times “Sara is extremely funny and should have many books out so we can all read them and laugh.” —Margaret ChoComedian, writer, blogger, radio and podcast host, and YouTube sensation, Sara Benincasa bravely and outrageously brings us “Dispatches from My Bedroom” with Agorafabulous! One of the funniest and most poignant books ever written about a mental illness, Agorafabulous! is a hilarious, raw, and unforgettable account of how a terrified young woman, literally trapped by her own imagination, evolved into a (relatively) high-functioning professional smartass. Down to earth and seriously funny, Benincasa’s no-holds-barred revelations offer readers the politically incorrect hilarity they heartily crave, yet is so often missing from your typical, weepy, and redemptive personal memoir.

    Foreword by Ian Gilbert.
At a time of unprecedented challenges in relation not only to the climate crisis but also to children's and adolescents' mental health, connecting to nature offers an accessible and desirable way forward for today's learners - especially those living in urban surroundings.
Bringing together evidence from psychology, environmental science and education, Alexia aims to support teachers as they provide meaningful experiences rooted in learning about and through nature. The book can be used in two ways: to inspire individual sessions in nature, or to support teachers in building a cohesive outdoor-learning curriculum throughout the school.
Featuring practical advice, case studies and discussion of original theory, the book aims to inspire, motivate and stimulate educators to engage with alternative approaches to teaching in the outdoors and with nature in mind - and in such a way that promotes students' learning and fosters a long-lasting relationship with nature.
Independent Thinking on Nature-Based Learningshares case studies and examples of good practice from a variety of settings - ranging from kindergarten to secondary. Detailing the physical and psychological benefits of being outdoors, the book suggests ways to help build young people's connection with nature and support their autonomy in naturalspaces.
