  Prime Minister Robert Saleh feels helpless as his economy stagnates year after year. When a representative of the shadowy organization known as Armageddon offers funding for several national-level infrastructure projects, he can’t resist signing an overly expansive contract. News of this secret agreement, which includes a level of mercenary support for national security, sparks international concern. 
  Saleh hopes to play Armageddon’s investments against those of Australia and the United States, who’d focused their interest and resources elsewhere. Unfortunately, the cash flowing into Saleh’s pockets blinds him to the devastating consequences he’d unilaterally set in motion. 
  Gar Randolph and his ever-changing team of technical experts receive the call to keep an eye on things. “Remain unseen and unnoticed. More importantly, neutralize anything that isn’t in the best interest of the Saintly Islands.”   
  Events escalate until Gar takes decisive action.

The speaker isn’t afraid to call themselves out while also bending time, displaying the terror of being Black/queer/trans in Texas, and more — all while using humor and craft.  
  What does freedom look like? What can we learn from nature and our past? How do you reintroduce yourself in a world that refuses queerness? How can we use poetry as a tool in the toolbox that helps build freedom? This collection explores those questions, and manifests a world where Black, queer, and trans people get to live.

  Blackpool, 1976. The driest summer in two hundred years. The beaches are packed. The hotels are heaving. In the sweltering backstreets, far from the choc ices and donkey rides, the Webb Sisters are returning to their mother's run-down guest house, as she lies dying upstairs.
  Jez Butterworth's play The Hills of California was first performed at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London's West End in 2024, directed by Sam Mendes, and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and Neal Street.
