Plus size hairstylist Jodi is blindsided when her longtime boyfriend, Justin suddenly dumps her. She knows his mother was behind it. Jodi barely made it through high school, and Justin is a champion polo player who belongs to a ritzy country club. His mother never liked Jodi because she felt she wasn't educated enough, pretty enough, or thin enough for her son.

In her attempt to break them up, his mother introduced him to a gorgeous, Harvard-educated entertainment lawyer. There was intense sexual chemistry between him and his new girlfriend, but she got tired of him and his mother, and dumped him.

Months later when Jodi and Justin accidentally ran into each other, something extraordinary happened. Could karma be catching up with cocky Justin who coldly dumped her? A shocking secret he's hiding could rock him to the core...

The New York Times praises Christine Lincoln for writing ''with understated grace and a terrific eye for detail.'' Through 12 expressive and haunting short stories, Lincoln explores the lives of an African American community in the South. In the first tale, ''Bug Juice,'' listeners meet Sonny, a small boy who is easily influenced by his elders. Sonny reappears in ''All That's Left'' alongside Junie and Scoogie, children on the brink of adulthood. Each story offers a glimpse into the lives of these young men and women who struggle to understand their own thoughts and emotions.

De Profundis (Latin: "from the depths") is a 50,000 word letter written by Oscar Wilde during his imprisonment in Reading Gaol, to Lord Alfred Douglas, his lover. Wilde wrote the letter between January and March 1897; he was not allowed to send it, but took it with him upon release. In it he repudiates Lord Alfred for what Wilde finally sees as his arrogance and vanity; he had not forgotten Douglas's remark, when he was ill, "When you are not on your pedestal you are not interesting." He also felt redemption and fulfillment in his ordeal, realizing that his hardship had filled the soul with the fruit of experience, however bitter it tasted at the time.

Few first novels have created as much popular excitement as The Pickwick Papers—a comic masterpiece that catapulted its 24-year-old author to immediate fame.Listeners were captivated by the adventures of the poet Snodgrass, the lover Tupman, the sportsman Winkle &, above all, by that quintessentially English Quixote, Mr Pickwick, & his cockney Sancho Panza, Sam Weller. From the hallowed turf of Dingley Dell Cricket Club to the unholy fracas of the Eatanswill election, via the Fleet debtors prison, characters & incidents sprang to life from Dickens' pen, to form an enduringly popular work of ebullient humour & literary invention.
