Sinopse

Summer, 1974: music, freedom and a little bit of rebellion. Between his parents' divorce, ADHD, a tangled love life and a desperate need to escape to the Ozark Mountain Music Festival, Jon "Two-Bit" Willis has more problems than he can count.

The biggest one is figuring out how to get to the festival without his parents finding out. With a questionable alibi, a stoner crew, and a Volkswagen Beetle, Two-Bit sets off on a wild ride filled with detours, disasters, and unexpected encounters.

Along the way, he juggles the affections of two girls and the growing realization that adulthood is just as messy as the road to Sedalia. When the trip takes an unexpected turn, he finds himself in a situation that forces him to finally confront his father - and the truth he’s been avoiding.

A nostalgic romp through the heart of the '70s, J Keith Thompson's 'Two-Bit Wizərd' is a tale of music, mischief and self-discovery.

Some years ago, Oliver Darkshire stepped into the hushed interior of Henry Sotheran Ltd (est. 1761) to apply for a job. Allured by the smell of old books and the temptation of a management-approved afternoon nap, Darkshire was soon unteetering stacks of first editions and placating the store's resident ghost (the late Mr. Sotheran, hit by a tram).

A novice in this ancient, potentially haunted establishment, Darkshire describes Sotheran's brushes with history (Dickens, the Titanic), its joyous disorganization, and the unspoken rules of its gleefully old-fashioned staff, whose mere glance may cause the computer to burst into flames. As Darkshire gains confidence and experience, he shares trivia about ancient editions and explores the strange space that books occupy in our lives—where old books often have strong sentimental value, but rarely a commercial one.

By turns unhinged and earnest, Once Upon a Tome is the colorful story of life in one of the world's oldest bookshops and a love letter to the benign, unruly world of antiquarian bookselling, where to be uncommon or strange is the best possible compliment.

The much anticipated ongoing saga of an incomplete wanker, involving international drug smuggling operations, complications over library membership, and the Dutch.
Follow a man barely deserving of the title as he flails through a turgid cesspit of human depravity, only to discover that he’s the one bunging up its U-bend. Wrongly Writing has even more psychiatrists, anaphylaxis and cringing social ineptitude than the first Wrong Book, and proves that while editors exist for a reason, the author clearly doesn’t.
Similar to The Bible, in that Jesus is mentioned over twenty times, and entirely dissimilar to Médard Alard's 1922 masterpiece, "Est-ce Que Quelqu'un a Vu Mes Clés de Voiture?", which sold over thirteen copies thanks to a national cheese shortage.

From the host of Comedy Central's newest program, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, comes the first paperback reprint of his funny and provocative musings on race in America and other nightly topics--updated with new material for this edition. Now boasting three new chapters and an introduction exclusive the trade paperback edition, I'd Rather We Got Casinos And Other Black Thoughts by Larry Wilmore gives Wilmore's on-screen character of the same name a place to voice his opinions on controversial topics in a way that anyone can find amusing . . . and eye-opening. Exploring various literary forms such as op-ed pieces, epistolary entries, graduation speeches, and long-lost transcripts, the result is a collection that the expanded audience from his successful Comedy Central program will enjoy, including: why black weathermen make him feel happy (or sad); why brothas don't see UFOs; letters to the NAACP; and more, including his frustration with Black History Month -- after all, can twenty-eight days of trivia really make up for centuries of oppression?"
