Sinopse

In the faded town of Drelwich, Detective Ezra Mallin is pulled back to the case that wrecked his career and nearly broke his mind. Six years ago, Caroline Rowland disappeared without a trace. She wasn’t the last she was the first.

Now another child is gone. The same signs. The same silence. And under the rotting boards of the Rowland house waits a cellar sealed in gray light a room with no shadows.

Ezra isn’t who he was when he first stood there. Guilt dogs him, truth drives him, and this time the trail leads to vanishing evidence, townsfolk with empty memories, and sketches no one admits to drawing.

As past and present knot together, Ezra faces questions that don’t make sense. How do victims vanish without a fight? How can names be erased, wounds remain raw, and records show nothing?

He’s not the only one in the dark. The deeper he digs, the closer he comes to what some call the Collector and the more his own past coils tight around the case.

In Drelwich, forgetting keeps you alive. Remembering could take everything.

When the light returns, what lingers in the room without shadows?

But his beliefs are put to the test when he begins to suspect he's not alone. The lighthouse loses power. Doors open and slam shut on their own. Objects disappear, only to reappear in different locations. Most eerie are the handprints staining the windows - windows fifty feet up in the air.
Isolated and trapped, he's on his own to survive attacks growing aggressive by the hour. Is Jeremy losing his mind, dealing with a stalker, or was he wrong to dismiss the rumors of a ghost on the premises? And whoever or whatever it is, will it let him live to tell about it?

When the Otis family—brash, modern Americans—move into the ancient and supposedly haunted Canterville Chase, they’re met not with terror, but with sarcasm, oil, and detergent. Poor Sir Simon, the resident ghost, has frightened generations of Cantervilles into madness and despair, but now finds himself humiliated and ignored by skeptical newcomers who care more about removing bloodstains than respecting the supernatural.
Witty, satirical, and surprisingly moving, The Canterville Ghost blends comedy and ghost story into a timeless tale about redemption, forgiveness, and the gentle power of compassion. At its heart is the unlikely friendship between Sir Simon and young Virginia Otis, whose kindness becomes the key to unlocking centuries of sorrow.
This new narration by Simon Relph captures both the dry humor and the emotional depth of Oscar Wilde’s beloved story.
