Sinopsis

Conflict in cyberspace is not a new phenomenon, but the legality of hostile cyber activity at a state level remains imperfectly defined. While the United States and its allies are in general agreement on the legal status of conflict in cyberspace, China, Russia, and a number of like-minded nations have an entirely different concept of the applicability of international law to cyberspace. This e-book presents the opposed views of USA and Russia on cyber security. Ultimately, you can find out from the official report how cyber-attack can jeopardize national security in the latest attack performed by the Russian hackers in order to interfere with the 2016 U.S. elections.

A firsthand account of a twenty-year career as an RAF fighter pilot, instructor, aerobatic flyer, and squadron leader.   Tony Doyle first flew in the CCF, where he completed a glider course and then a highly prized Flying Scholarship. This opened the way to joining the RAF and becoming an all-weather tactical fighter pilot flying de Havilland Vampires and Gloster Meteors. At this he excelled, and he was posted as a flying instructor and then Staff Instructor.   This was the age when the Jet Provost was the standard training aircraft. In 1962, Doyle was selected to fly with the newly formed Red Pelicans aerobatic display team and honed his skills as a display pilot. He moved to RAF Valley as the new Folland Gnat was being introduced in the training role. This diminutive aircraft was somewhat of a breakthrough—and after several design problems were ironed out it proved a superb aircraft, fast and agile. The general public were eager to see this new RAF addition and Doyle became its display pilot, flying at open days throughout the UK and Europe.   In 1964 he converted to the English Electric Lightning, Britain’s one and only supersonic fighter, with a top speed in excess of Mach 2 and a ceiling of 50,000 feet. He was posted to Treble One Squadron at Wattisham in October 1964 as part of the Quick Reaction Alert force against potential Russian bomber attacks. Once again he became the Lightning’s chosen low-level display pilot and demonstrated it at the 1965 Paris Air Show. Shortly after that, he was forced to eject over the North Cornish coast after an engine explosion caused the loss of elevator control.   This fascinating account of front-line and display flying goes into considerable detail of the aerodynamic qualities, dangers, and advantages of the types flown—and recounts life-threatening incidents and successes that will educate anyone interested in flying at the very edge.

A “well-written, lucid, and vivid” recounting of the battles, beheadings, and other dramatic events that changed modern history (The Washington Post).   Works from Les Miserables by Victor Hugo to Citizens by Simon Schama have been inspired by the French Revolution. The Days of the French Revolution brings to life the events that changed the future of Western civilization.   As compelling as any fiction thriller, this real-life drama moves from the storming of the Bastille to the doomed court of Louis XVI, the salon of Madame Roland, and even the boudoir of Marie Antoinette. Christopher Hibbert, author of The House of Medici and other histories and biographies, recounts the events that swirled around Napoleon, Mirabeau, Danton, Marat, and Robespierre with eyewitness accounts and his “usual grace and flair for divulging interesting detail” (Booklist).   “A remarkably good writer.” —The New York Times  Includes illustrations

Donald Trump's election as President of the United States confounded the pundits and crowned a year of political surprises.
In Hopes And Fears, Lord Ashcroft sets out in compelling detail why America sent Trump to the White House. With the rigorous research and analysis that is his hallmark, he argues that - contrary many people's assumptions - the American people made the choice with their eyes wide open.
We hear from swing-state voters in their own words as they wrestle with their decision and explain why they, and their country, want change - with all the risks it may entail. Drawing the parallels with the UK's Brexit referendum, the book explores the lessons of 2016 for both parties, the divisions within the American electorate and what they mean for the future.
For anyone wondering how America came to choose its new leader, Hopes And Fears has the answers.

“A delightful and informative look at nudism throughout history and around the world.” —The Seattle Times   People have been getting naked in public for reasons other than sex for centuries. But as Mark Haskell Smith reveals, being a nudist is more complicated than simply dropping trou. “Nonsexual social nudism,” as it’s called, rose to prominence in the late nineteenth century. Intellectuals, outcasts, and health nuts from Victorian England and colonial India to Belle Époque France and Gilded Age Manhattan disrobed and wrote manifestos about the joys of going clothing-free. From stories of ancient Greek athletes slathered in olive oil to the millions of Germans who fled the cities for a naked frolic during the Weimar Republic to American soldiers given “naturist” magazines by the Pentagon in the interest of preventing sexually transmitted diseases, this book uncovers nudism’s amusing and provocative past.   Coated in multiple layers of high SPF sunblock, Haskell Smith publicly disrobes for the first time in Palm Springs; observes the culture of family nudism in a clothing-free Spanish town; and travels to the largest nudist resort in the world, a hedonist’s paradise in the south of France. He reports on San Francisco’s controversial ban on public nudity, participates in a week of naked hiking in the Austrian Alps, and caps off his adventures with a week on a Caribbean cruise known as the Big Nude Boat.   Equal parts cultural history and gonzo participatory journalism, Naked at Lunch is “an absolute hoot” (Los Angeles Magazine) and “a total joy” (Meghan Daum).   “Smith puts on his reporter’s hat and takes off everything else as he explores the history and sociology of nudism.” —Los Angeles Times
