During his sophomore year of high school, Jordan was only 5 feet 11 inches tall and was cut from the varsity basketball team, but after growing four inches the following summer, he made the team. As a senior, he averaged 26.8 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 10.1 assists per game and was selected for the McDonald's All-American Game. Jordan's NBA debut with the Chicago Bulls was on October 26, 1984, where he scored 16 points, and a ticket stub from that game sold for $264,000 in 2021, setting a record for a collectible ticket stub.
