Sinopse

A dead silence and dread fell on the whole place. He entered a small room behind the platform. The silence continued for about five minutes. It was like the longest day. Harieta feared for the life of her bosom childish friend, Anita. No one could read the mind of DD1 or what would follow next. Then the bell rang for the emergence of the cult leader. All eyes were fixed at the small door. When he eventually came out, he had changed from the black attire to a red one. A hush came over the congregation. Red robe signifies danger or death. But to Anita it was blood, the blood of atonement. DD1 judged and pronounced Anita dead. "Tomorrow she will be sacrificed to the great dragon." Her school mates cried out but were silenced. Anita in the midst of the silence screamed, "God is watching you." They clad her in a red robe and she was taken to the dungeon, an underground prison. She would be prepared for the ritual and sacrifice.DD1's night was rough and turbulent. He couldn't sleep. The echoes of Anita's song - God is watchin' - rattled him. "She mustn't die because she spoke the truth. She is innocent and pure," echoed a voice on one hand while another vulgar voice shouted, "she must die. She must die. Anita must be sacrificed." The confusion in DD number one's head heightened. He later chose that Anita must be sacrificed. After all he vowed to serve the red dragon. But Anita in the midst of her ordeal received a visitor, a beautiful lady in her dreams, who claimed to be her guardian spirit."I am your guardian spirit. Don't be afraid. I'll send you a deliverer...""How could that be seeing my plight in this dungeon...""God is not only watching the deeds of men or events in the world but he's watching over you too. Cheer up." The visitor left, leaving Anita still in the holding dungeon, an underground cell.Anita sighed and moaned, "she still left me here. Anyway this is a price I must pay..." She cried out her eyes and left all to God. All her many dreams that night were wars and wars with the red dragons tearing her to pieces. Evil dreams that gave her no hope. But she woke up and found she was still alive. She wished she died from there than to come back and face the evil congregation. The following morning the congregation of the red dragon worshippers gathered. The altar was prepared at the center of the field. At the appropriate time, after all the rituals and incantations, Anita was brought in. Her face was pale, gloomy and dejected. But something strange started...Gifted Child (Dragons Angels Children Series Book Two) for young readers would help children overcome challenges and solve puzzles of life. Character shapes a nation as Jim Weiss presents the action-filled, moving story of George Washington, a man of remarkable physical strenth and equally powerful emotions. Amid bullets and ballots, as commander-in-chief and constitutionalist, political leader and peaceful farmer, family man and father of a nation, here's a very "human" man who won a war and refused a crown; who saw with amazing clarity the future achievements and challenges of a new nation; who hoped to overcome slavery and unite all Americans, while holding that new nation together in its rocky first years by sheer will. By the end, you'll understand why George Washington truly merits the title "first in the hearts of his countrymen."
