Sinopsis

Can two people fall in love over the world's best hot cocoa?
Christmas is a busy time of year for Delaney Young, owner of Delaney's Delights, a bakery in small town Charles Town, West Virginia, famous for award winning hot cocoa. When the son of a tree farmer from out of town stops by to sample her number one seller, Delaney realizes Christmas is the perfect time of year to fall in love.
Josh Taylor spends every Christmas helping out his parents at the family tree farm, leaving behind his busy life as a computer technician in Washington, DC, for a few weeks every year. When he meets Delaney, he wonders if it's time to leave big city life for good and take over the family business so that he can be closer to the beautiful baker.

This is the second book by Pastor Omar Fisher as he details the far-reaching consequences of prison on our society. This writing investigates the lives of those recently released from prison and the corresponding experiences of Pastor Omar as he visited and interacted with those who were incarcerated and their families and their communities. This book is a direct follow-up to Pastor Omar's first book, Confrontations, which detailed how by the grace of God he was able to start an international prison ministry having never been incarcerated and the confrontations he experienced along the way. In this current book, Pastor Omar has been doing prison ministry for several years and has seen how it continues to impact the lives of individuals and those connected to them long after they are released from prison. Prison has truly affected our society like nothing else and Pastor Omar pulls back the veil and gives us a glimpse into its consequences and uses that to shed light on some even greater consequences humanity has experienced on a whole.
Pastor Omar Fisher started doing prison ministry in 2003 and authored his first book, Confrontations, in 2008 which detailed how he started his prison ministry and the different challenges he faced along the way. He continued to do prison ministry regularly until 2021 when he began pastoring Geiger Memorial Brethren Church in Philadelphia, PA. He still stays in touch with numerous inmates and visits prisons on occasion to preach the Word of God and also encourages and equips pastors and laymen and laywomen to enter into the prisons and continue to be blessings to a forgotten section of our society.

Creating a sensation when it was first published in 1877, the first major work by the young Russian noblewoman who would found the Theosophical Society devoted 1200 pages to the mysteries of ancient and modern science and theology. This new edition abridged by Theosophical scholar Michael Gomes breathes fresh life into this classic of Western esoteric thinking. Stripped of its lengthy quotations from other writers and its repetitious commentary, Isis Unveiled is revealed to be a clear and readable exploration of the universal truths of the Ancient Wisdom Tradition by one of the most remarkable women of modern times.

Every Bitter Thing Is Sweet -...

Sara Hagerty masterfully draws from her own story of spiritual and physical barrenness to birth in listeners a new longing for God. With exquisite storytelling and reflection, Hagerty guides listeners to a tender place that God is holding just for them—a place where he shapes the bitterness of lost expectations into deep, new places of knowing Him.
In the age of fingertip access to answers and a limitless supply of ambitions, where do we find the God who was birthed in dirt and straw? Sara Hagerty found him when life stopped working for her. She found him when she was a young adult mired in spiritual busyness and when she was a new bride with doubts about whether her fledgling marriage would survive. She found him alone in the night as she cradled her longing for babies who did not come. She found him as she kissed the faces of children on another continent who had lived years without a mommy’s touch.
In Every Bitter Thing Is Sweet, Hagerty masterfully draws from the narrative of her life to craft a mosaic of a God who leans into broken stories. Here readers see a God who is present in every changing circumstance. Most significantly, they see a God who is present in every unchanging circumstance as well
Whatever lost expectations listeners are facing—in family, career, singleness, or marriage—Every Bitter Thing Is Sweet will bring them closer to a God who longs for them to know him more. What does it look like to know God’s nearness when life breaks? What does it mean to receive his life when earthly life remains barren? How can God turn the bitterness of unmet desire into new flavors of joy?
With exquisite storytelling and reflection, Hagerty brings listeners back to hope, back to healing, back to a place that God is holding for them alone—a place where the unseen is more real than what the eye can perceive. A place where every bitter thing is sweet.
